Sweet!
Very nice Jerry!
On a side note…thanks Dave as I have never seen the Crusader…very neat
Awesome, Jerry!! Syl did a great job on the lettering and you did great on the build!! My days off now are Wednesday and Thursdays, so next time down I’ll bring my camera down for some ‘builders’ photos!!
Wow! Jerry- What an amazing job. Great work on the loco!!!
-Kevin.
Something to dance for.

Nice Job as usual. Is that the paint job they had on it?? Very colorful.
Thanks guys. I got the streamlined marker lights on today and all wired. Down to a few touchups and that will be about it, I hope!
Looking good Jerry. Later RJD
I finished up 2906. Indoor shots here, too cold/windy/wet to to outside.

I used Papilio ink jet vinyl for the UP Overland shields. Found pix of them on the internet, had to do some work to them before printing. Lights are LED’s and are really bright!

That came out nice!
That is an absolutely gorgeous job Jerry. Truly wonderful!
I have a question about the prototype…
I was always under the impression that this loco was painted up in brown and yellow. Was it always (when streamlined) in the colors you’ve done or were the colors ever changed? Except for a painting all the photos I’ve seen were in black & white so I’ve never seen the actual colors.
Nice job!! That looks terrific…!!
Richard;
You are correct. The locomotive was brown and yellow. Jerry noted earlier in the thread that he liked the gray and yellow passenger livery better. I tend to agree that the “what if” livery Jerry chose is more attractive, especially when coupled to matching streamlined coaches.
The prototype’s colors were more similar to the streamlined diesel-powered “city” trains of the 1930s.

David Meashey
Nice work Jerry. Nice seeing a streamlined locomotive once in awhile
Jerry, engine came out great… nice work…
Thanks guys, I appreciate it. I saw today that Van Halen’s new CD has a streamline loco on it. A NYC Hudson, I guess.

Excellent work Jerry!
Beautiful!
Fantastic!!! Love the streamlined locos!!!
-Kevin.
Yet Another impressive build Jerry. Question is with all that streamlining How much faster will she go vs a non streamlined loco???
Todd
Todd;
It will be about as much faster than a non-streamlined steamer as Raymond Lowey’s streamlined pencil sharpener was faster than a non-streamlined pencil sharpener.
Have fun,
