Have fun Bob

I’m on the way north … I hate missing this event … I’ll have to stop by and visit @ another time. (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-frown.gif)

A week out, and we’re watching the weather closely. It looks like maybe some showers Friday morning (which is OK, because people dont start showing up until the afternoon), and maybe some scattered storms Saturday and maybe early Sunday. I guess that beats 105f like it was last year…

And the weather channel keeps changing the forecast. (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-foot-in-mouth.gif)If it’s anything like around here, it won’t rain unless it is over 70% chance; so here’s hoping!

The temperature forecast looks very nice!

This has been a great summer here in Western CT. Very few oppressive days and plenty of great low humidity sunny days, quite a few on weekends (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-smile.gif)The 8 days out forecast has not been accurate here all summer. Always saying rain, then nothing. So there is much hope your early forecast is wrong; but if not we’ll still have fun.

Bruce - Don’t forget to bring the soldering stuff. I’ll try and remember the money (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-surprised.gif)

It’s on my list. Not that THAT guarantees anything, but it’s a start.

2 days to go time to think about packing. Jon stopped to Ronnies Seafood and Ice Cream Sunday they are great clams you should try on your way

cheers Richrad

Forecast is still not looking great. 50% chance of rain. Unless its downpouring, we’ll still run ops, but in a limited way.

We’ve lucked out every time Ive been up so I suppose the odds are not in our favor, but 50% if better than 80%.

@ Richard - Thanks for checking it out. I may just do that!

You’re just using the wrong one. This one says less than 30%…

And my latest one now says 10%.

I asked the Magic 8 ball and it replied;

Indications say Yes.

There you go!

Can I ask where this is? Just the general area. I’d be curious how long of a drive it would be.

I had it written down somewhere in my past…

Just outside the Boston outer loop - Littleton, MA

And the SJR&P in Chelmsford, MA.

Hope weather holds for you guys and gals.

Thank you Rooster for clarification of your 80 lb rail comment. Sorry the age is slowing the thought process and I have to literally have you spell it out for us.

Yes, Bruce, our plans are to be at AndyC’s October Ops.

Rain is threatening the operations on Saturday here in Ottawa, but surely the Storm Gods were watching my “Night of The Full Moon, Sun Dance”, on Monday at Midnight. That usually gets us two extra days of rain free weather… I also pointed out to those same Storm Gods that their water supplies can’t supply enough rain to cover both Ottawa and that place near Boston, at the same time. I gather that Ottawa is to get rain in the morning, and you guys get it in the afternoon…!!

Mr. Beverly; your “Throw Bars” should be in Paul Norton’s pocket…I gave them to him last Saturday.

Heh. Now it’s back to 40%.

I say 50%: either it rains, or it doesn’t.

Oooh…I’d like just a 7 hour drive! Coming from Burke, VA it’s a tad further, but it’s an event I look forward to all year long.

Bob & Martha plus Stan & Deb equals a great weekend of trains!
