Do I love it? No, not really, that’s a long freaking driveway to shovel out…

and I'm getting this grief from a guy with exactly zero feet of driveway and 30 feet of sidewalk to shovel................;)

That makes a nice looking photo.

There saying snow here could get down to 2000 feet here with this weekends storm, I live right on the 1000 foot mark, we’ll see

I heard 1500 feet Victor. It’s getting closer!

Well it finally came, we got 6" of snow in about 5 hours and an additional 6" to 12" forcasted to drop before noon tomorrow. At one point today you couldn’t see my shop from the house because of the falling snow and my shop is only 30’ from the house.

Btw Ken how long is your driveway? Mine is 275’ from the street to the shop, but no shovels here. 27 hp Sears tractor with a 4’ wide snow blower mounted to the front. No more walk behind blowers.

Chuck

Never actually measured it, but a good guess would be about 250’. Shoveling it by hand, it feels like a mile… At one time I had a Sears 14 HP garden tractor with plow and blower attachments, but that thing bit the dust years ago. For a while there the winters were pretty mild and we weren’t getting enough snow to justify a new one. Usually my next door neighbor comes over and does mine with his plow, but this one hit during the week and he was working. So, it’s been awhile since I’ve had to shovel it out the entire way. The excersize was nice, but I may be rethinking the plow or blower thing if this s+++ keeps up, though… It hasn’t been as bad this year as it was last year. We had 3 storms that dumped 2 to 3’ each time…thankfully I was on the road either heading to or coming back from FL when they hit… This is from last year:

There’s a railroad underneath all that…somehwere:

Thats about what my driveway is 250ft. I have a plow on my garden tractor that works ok as long as you keep up with the plowing during bigger storms.
On the bright side lots of rain in forcast for tomorrow. Might wash all the snow away I hope.

We’re supposed to get rain tonite and tomorrow also. Getting up near 50 today…(where’s my shorts?)…

PM Showers
Rain/Wind

High: 47°
Low: 38°

Well, yesterday, I could see all of the track in Lairds yard, and the yard at White Rock had melted off, too. The main between those two points was still covered with about 4 inches of compact snow and ice.

Last night, we received 18 inches of fine powder. There are drifts to 5 feet in places.

Just what I wanted…

Vic get that pizza layout outside so you can get pictures of snow on it.

We had some sleet last night now just heavy rain. Hope it washes all the snow away.

Victor, are you going to shop for a snow shovel today?

No snow last night but the temperature reached -6F with winds at 20mph making the wind chill factor at -15F. Todays high is going tobe 16F and thank goodness the wind has stopped.

Look out California here it comes!!!

I awoke this morning to see the beautiful white stuff falling on the ground it was a winter wonderland. And if you believe that you are NUT’S. I hate the white stuff! And I am out of fire wood.
