Nasty cold drownpours today… supposed to change over to snow later tonight.
We’ve been out of eggs, milk, AND bread for a couple days. So no French toast for us. (Homemade noodle soup!)
But at least we still gots TP!

What are you guys too affraid to drive in a little cold weather, snow, and rain. You must be like the wicked witch of the west when she got a little water on her, “Help me, I’m melting!” LOL
Anyone interested in a ski-trip to Amarillo?

Nope, I’m “afraid of” STUPID PEOPLE who either can’t drive in it, -or- fearlessly overestimate their ability to do so. (Mostly the latter)
So, if I don’t absolutely HAVE to be someplace, the path of least resistance is to simply stay home.
A couple years ago I was behind a State Police cruiser during an ice storm, and witnessed him slide sideways through a red light, My though was, “If I’d done that, he’d have been writing for a week!”
Was driving back to college in my little 4x4 pickup in a winter storm. As I came up the ramp from Hwy 5 (now I88) to I80, there was a cop car coming along. I entered he hwy behind him, just in time to see him spin off into the medium.
“Need some help?”
“Naw. If I took you up on it, I’d be in worse trouble than I am now.”
Freeport to Macomb, 4 wheel all the way.
We are falling way behind on rainfall but it was 70 yesterday!
I am busy building the switchback siding to the gold mill, The mine owners will sure be happy when trains can get to the mill,
Well, we’ve made it through February. Today is Jan’s Birthday and it has always snowed around here, at least once, after her birthday.
Happy Birthday Jan!

Happy birthday, Jan.
And March often brings the wost snowstoms of winter here, too.
It started snowing seriously around 5:30PM last evening, so we ran quick quick for bread, eggs and rubber cement. I’m a bit worried what’s on the menu for dinner tonight.
We picked up around 6" overnight. I went to work anyway, but there was little company on the roads at 6:30 AM. Been very quiet here at work all day. Picked up a few more inches before noon but it’s so warm the roads are wet already. Supposed to get 3" more overnight then 50 and sunny tomorrow. Might need to run a plow ;}
rubber cement??? don’t tell me your glueing the french toast together…
My mom lives in Mass, and she said they told her, they were to git 3-5 inches of snow, they have now changed that to be 10-12 inches more…
I live in CT. we got 25" so far, and it is still comeing down! Cant wait for spring in 12 days. Regards, Ron
Just when i thought the last of the snow had melted from the layout. So much for the 2-4 inches here. Almost a foot.
Hehe…we had the 8-12" forecast that shut down the Federal and State Government, closed all the schools.
However, it was not quite the snowmageddon they forecast.
Here’s a shot taken Wednesday afternoon…even in scale depth, it wasn’t much…

Went to bed at midnight last night, it had been flurrying all day, but had about an inch of snow. Woke up this morning to about 6". Snow ended about an hour ago, and I went out to clear the driveway of 15" of snow. yuck.
We only got a dusting again… but that translates into those “conserve water” warnings all summer
OTOH it’s 37 and the sun is warm
