Re Thursday storm - Forget the bread and milk. I’m headed out for Beer and Vodka. This stuff is starting to get old. Stinkin’ groundhog.
I have to say that many people in the United Kingdom, especially the large numbers whose homes are flooded, would exchange the snow for the incessant rain that parts of the country have been getting since Christmas.
The water table , in many parts, is as high as it can get!!
Alan, they are about to change the rain for snow…it’s been snowing here and up country!!
Us New Englanders laugh @ winter!!!
Yes the TSA smoke unit is running like a charm!
I did notice that if you didn’t take your equipment in after running in the snow, next time you run all the wheels will be iced up!
All is inside, the battery is charged, I will put the equipment back out tomorrow just incase they blow the 6" to 12" forecast for Thursday!

Is this a old pic, or did you get the smoke unit fixed today?
My knees still have ice on them from taking that picture 10 min ago!
Fixed the smoke unit with the help of Dan Pierce and…Richard Beverly (he knows that unit from his O gauge days!)
Nice shot Sean. Now I want to see a 3-4 minute video. That will prove if you New Englanders are really tough
Took a lot of video but now I have to edit it!
Video to come later!
Cool

Nice cant wait to see.
more snow today
Mike,
Looks like it’s time to bring the plow out!
This is my layout today. By tomorrow you wont see a single tree if I get the 14-18 inches of snow tomorrow.
I am still waiting on our snow, we do get snow. Today’s High is projected at 82.
About 14 inches here…more than enough for me.
Almost 8 inches here and very heavy snow. Between what I already had and now its well past my knees ugh…
part of the line’s open…
Somewhere under there is a town…
Ha! I can’t even get out to get pictures!
9.5" a few hours ago when we shoveled the walk. Railroad operations have been annulled until further notice.
Not much contrast in these photos. Elevated section just before Wall Station…
Wall Station (that little bump in the middle) and Coal Dump Curve…
Coal Dump Curve - The pointy thing is the top of a Dwarf Alberta Spruce…
Indian Hill Bridge. There was no snow on or under the bridge before last night…
The canyons from last week’s dig-out effort are nearly full…
Crews have been advised to file for unemployment compensation.
I know how you feel Jon. My back yard looks the same. Where is spring!!!
