Never overwhelmed with your pictures, Jon
Neat photos…No snow or rain here. Over 70 today and Calif. need water.

With temps into the 50’s I got the urge to run some trains. Spent Saturday digging out what I could. I planned to run Sunday but was concerned about the water streaming onto the track from roof melt drowning the loco. A little creative application of coroplast and a few screws solved the problem with a drip shed…
If you look close you can see the water steaming down above the far edge of the shed.
Bright sun on Saturday cleaned up the track around Wall…

The pictures look great Jon. We got another 5 to 6 inches of snow today so everything is nice and white for another couple of days then back up into the 40’s before we get another deep freeze next week. I can say I’m ready for “Spring”.
Chuck
Looks great Jon. You can never have too many pictures. Looks like this week we might get more snow.
Yep, got another 4 inches over the weekend. It was all gone after the 50 degree temps we had last week. Guess winter isnt done yet.
If we ended the “Official Snow Thread”, would it quit snowing?

Hey, Hollywood - Could you make sure the Fairgrounds are plowed out for us?

The “Possibility of a significant accumulation”. What the hell does that mean?..
Ken,
I guess that is ‘weathermans speak’ for a dump of snow.
Jon,
it looks like you have an interesting railroad beneath all that snow.
I enjoyed looking at the pics.

I always figured that a 40% chance of rain meant that it would be raining at least 40% of the time.

Thanks Alan, I had fun taking them.
I surveyed the railroad this evening as I got home before dark for the first time in 2 weeks. The water over Walk Crossing dried up before the freeze, so the tracks are still passable. It looks like there might be hope of digging out the wye tail at Deep Cut tomorrow to open the entire line. Light snow is forecast for tomorrow which might make for some good pictures or video. TV Weather hasn’t given any accumulations for Sunday into Monday - some folks are saying a foot or more in NYC - a little less here 75 miles North.
@Ric - This is the winter that will never end. Less than 8 days before Daylight Time begins and the ground here is covered with 8+ inches of snow pack so frozen I can walk on it.

Na 40% chance means that 40% of the state will get something while 60% will stay dry lol…
