Shawn - Maybe next year you should just build snow shed around the whole layout. As it is you can’t see it running unless you are on or directly above it!
I gave up on mine. Spent all weekend digging just to get walkways opened back up.

Haha I was thinking about putting everyone’s faces on the walls and then we can play the guess who it is game, as the train runs along.
…winking…

Bob McCown:
Effective IMMEDIATELY:
No insults. Period. This includes things like personal attacks, attacks on companies, or attacks on products. If you have a legitimate concern or complaint about a product, post something like “I don’t think XYZ is working like it should, here’s why” not “the company that makes XYZ always produces crap”. Spot the difference? Specifically, the “Bachmann is crap” and “Aristo dont know what they’re doing” ends now.
I don’t care if you and another member of the site don’t get along. Keep it private. Any of us that have been paying attention for the last several years all know who hates who. If this spills over into the forums again, you’ll lose posting privileges.
No “baiting” someone else’s beliefs, or pushing their buttons. (see above)
Well I have to say I like this snow thread. Makes a change from the monsoon weather we are suffering over here.
However, it did set me thinking. Pundits tell us the weather pattern is changing. In that case maybe I should sell some of my trains and get a few model boats? Boats n the winter and trains in the summer.
As for you guys in the States: may I suggest trains in good weather and possibly a cable car set up in the winter? Why! you could even build your own Winter Olympic Village. lol
I can finally see some of the chimneys on a few buildings…

I cant see nothing yet. We got another 1/2inch of snow yesterday with some ice on top grrrrrrrr. I have a feeling I want see much till April.
WE got a lot of rain yesterday morning, so that helped a lot. And my squirrel blind is down to the middle of my chest now…
With temps into the 50’s I got the urge to run some trains. Spent Saturday digging out what I could. I planned to run Sunday but was concerned about the water streaming onto the track from roof melt drowning the loco. A little creative application of coroplast and a few screws solved the problem with a drip shed…
If you look close you can see the water steaming down above the far edge of the shed.
Bright sun on Saturday cleaned up the track around Wall…
