Its beginning to really shape up. Your Iron Maiden is very much work of the “Evil Twins”. Actually having impact on other scales.

Gonna re-purpose the undersides of the LGB coaches
Radiator mounts
Engine air intakes pinned and holes drilled in roof for mounting
Need to connect the intake duct plate underneath yet.
Added the aluminum feed water and return tubes along with the core to the radiators. Currently working on the exhaust and roof top air tanks.
The crew waves off for this segment. Sadly one of the members has lost most of his fingers as there is no safety yellow or white on the units YET.
These were the steps on the side of the LGB powered tender.
Moved them and added a platform up into the cab.
Scratched up some ladders however my original plan to use them really isn’t working out currently. I drilled out the .060 and added 1/32 brass pins but I feel they will get broken were I wanted to put them. SO moving on and rethinking their use “if at all”. But it’s a nice procedure on how to make them if you wish. I’m contemplating just hanging them on the side above the tanks and if the crew needs them they can pull them down and use them.
I played around with a few different exhaust configurations. However I decided on this one as I believe these units need straight piped polished tips. Ric wanted progress how to pics so there they are so far. Thus ends this segment of modeling with Rooster 101.
BTW Ric,
I don’t have horns or bells that I’m prepared to give up nor am I making them. If you would like them you can add them later as I’m planning on making these 69% done so you add the 31% of details you like .
Also, I know we discussed the body color (not really excited about it) what we did not discuss is the safety colors …I’m giving you 2 choices yellow or white and which ever you chose I will probably pic the opposite. I really don’t see either of them working with gloss fuchsia you decided on anyway.
No yellow or white as they will clash with fuchsia in ungodly ways, but my first choice of color to enhance Fuchsia has always been Chartreuse, it just has that WOW factor you can’t get any other way (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

Except for puce. Puce is the neglected Wow.

Eric,
The OD thinks outside of the box. The mind is a terrible thing to waste even though I decide to do such.

But, nice work, as usual.
Bump for post count
Well, just crud… I have now gotten so old and feeble that my writing is just used to bump post count? Oh, the humiliation (or it could just be the humidity?) I guess it depends on auto-correct.? (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-foot-in-mouth.gif)
Really like the exhaust and the air intake.

Ok…what don’t you like? I personally don’t like any of it as birds prefer corners.
3 exhaust pipes? A V-3? (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-surprised.gif)
x2 John do the math and they are split under the roof …right ?
I see…

Great as I won’t see it from my house even if I stand on the roof !
Nice work, Son… (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)
Those are shaping up really nicely. I envy your ability to see usable shapes in other objects. I’m getting there but you are light years ahead of me on that.
