I got some yellow-and-black striped stick-on for my boxcab, from somewhere in the UK. (I can probably figure out where if you want to know.)

Those are shaping up really nicely. I envy your ability to see usable shapes in other objects. I’m getting there but you are light years ahead of me on that.
Jon,
I honestly think you are my evil twin! As you give me "GREAT IDEA’S "
Ric ,
This is a “kitbash” so you have options !!! See below!
1 …Not Assembled and Not painted
2…Not Assembled and painted
3…Assembled and painted
4…Assembled and painted with installation of full electronics (delivery date WILL NOT meet your, you’re,ewe’er,UR deadline date)
5…All options are available for a price as I have a kid in college.
Yes, I’ve been watching. Caught up on the “safety colors”. Thinking era is 1930’s to 1950’s and then relegated to “museum work”. Where are you thinking safety colors being used. Front end? Roof top? Handrails or ladders? Keep goin back to PRR A6. There is one picture of the faded Pennsylvania lettering and numbers and then pale yellow hand rails. I’m thinking very pale on the yellow. Straight pipes, very cool!
.
Son in college, yep. I feel he should get the support your “Dad” in Nashville has always given you. Do you really think you should support his beer intake and tatoos? (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)
You are not only a great model builder Rooster but you make me laugh too ! Love your last post here .Awsome , keep it up !
It’s a hobby so it should be fun !
Thanks Mike !

I feel for the kid…
Hey Rooster, we missed you at the ECLSTS show, certainly missed you at the D&B, but there’s next year.
Hope your son is doing fine, and you as well.
But… How’s the Twins build going??
[edit] Sorry, I didn’t mean to put any pressure on you…

Still trying to figure out how to recycle reuse along with placement of stuff. Did manage how to solve the rear coupler mounting issue . Ric seemed to struggle with this as well with his now gutted M9 but a glue gun and obtrusive screws were not the answer I was looking for.
Totally hate the ladders as it’s not what I’m looking for …good idea and decent way to make them if you want too!!
Went with simple grabs …had it been mine I would have probably put downbends on the grabs but it’s not and time is money ?
Totally sucks detail wise on the roof so far but Ric has his 2 wires that he needs off the motor block . Still playing and using materials most overlook.
Currently been busy inseminating chickens as the eggs are blowing off the shelves recently. Why I don’t know?

Practicing “Social Distancing” as recommended and as many here have done for years. When I do socialize I carry the same balls I always have not the ones I have behind the keyboard.
Nice use of the Drip Irrigation Tee for the wires on the roof Rooster
do i feed your ego by saying that i like the build(s)? - no, i won’t. your ego is big enough.
in this pic below, in front on the roof you used a waterhose connector for windshield washers.
would you be so kind to tell me how that is called in english or american? (amazon usable name)

Dan,
Thank you but I’m not happy with it. Nothing is fastened in place and when I decide I like something I usually pin it in place. This way there is nothing to fill but a 1/16" hole (maximum) if I decide to change or add.

Korm,
I have no ego so there is nothing to feed as I’m just a peckerhead as all Roosters are. I only build junk from junk and use what I have on hand. So perhaps I can help you with the link below. However you already know what you are talking about so why ask me?

So Rooster made the statement -
“Ric has box cab issues and I’m upset he didn’t ask for my help !”
.
So he opened his mouth and we started having conversations. I’ve got shelves of builds and first attempts and parts. So after a phone call, a box is on its way to Rooster. As he has stated, there are no rules with box cabs.
.
I’ve got to admit all this stuff is really interesting. I guess I do have a problem with critters and Box Cabs.

Ric’s overall outlook ^^^^
Ric is pretty close to owing me $100 and his brother from another mother still owes me $20. So if you compound that over the years with interest we can go back to this.
I really dislike old guys that know how to convince the "younger generation " into stuff !
