It’s tomorrow. Any progress. Looking good Rooster
Yes there was progress but minimal, only got 2hrs of play time today. So standard Sunday night photo dump…fair enough?

Wait!!! One side view of two different cars are plans??? I didn’t know… I’m so cornfused… I thought plans were drawings of both sides and ends, with the appropriate dimensional indications… Man, I’m so cornfused…

Thanks for the new pix David, looking good! Nice to see your technique illustrated so well. How do you cut out the windows so well?
Really looking good. Sure will make for a long train. Later RJD

Still wondering about the corrugated parts? Was at Niagara Hobby last Tuesday night (sigh) and perused what was left of the Plastruct & Evergreen racks as well as what was left in the Precions Plastics panels in the dollhouse section. Found some metal corrugated but it was more representative of the corrugated tin you see on roofs of sheds and barns.
Chas
Wow, these things are looking great.
Jon.
Chas, you asked about the materials before, I gave you the following hints in the thread… You might follow my hints…

If you go back through the thread, the question was asked, and an indirect answer was given. With due respect to the rooster, I will honor his responses…
Go back through the thread, there is a link to another thread…
In that thread, there is the same question, a lot of speculation, and one person gives an answer…
The rooster basically confirms this speculation, the exact manufacturer, as being correct.
There, I gave you the path and the clues…
Hopefully I have not exceeded the bounds of secrecy! ha ha!

Finally got some time to play this weekend. I worked on a few different things but I think I have a plan together for the trucks. Interested in opinion’s or thoughts as to their appearance. The side frames are me up from two different styles of USA side frames. The rest is styrene and aluminum tubing. The spring was bought at the local True Value.

Also checked the turn radius on a 9’ diameter curve. The inside loop on my R.R. in a 9’ diameter and wanted to see if these cars(truck design) will do it. I put a pic comparison with the LGB Amfleet cars which don’t look too awful bad on the 9’ diameter.

Rooster the truck mods look good, but you went from pieces to mounted truck and the detail isn’t clear enough for full opinions. :)

The two cars look pretty similar in the curve. The trucks look great. Ralph
