I thought Fred was a fryer…
Guess I’d better start paying attention, except it is too close to payday to pay anything…

“I thought Fred was a fryer…”
Uh Oh! Reminds me of that old joke about the monestary in England that raised funds with a fish 'n chips sale every autumn. A lady was trying to deliver some more fish fillets during the busy part of the sale. She asked the first brother she met in the kitchen, “Pardon me, are you the fish friar?” He replied, “No M’am, I’m the chip monk.”
Sorry, couldn’t resist,
David Meashey
Fred? Any comment on your origin? Before thinking superficially, I ask for thoughts from a deep friar.
This is as close to railroading in the back yard that I have come so far this summer
I’ll tell the tale one of these days, but this fine night finds me way too tired…It is Canada Day on Friday…I need rest.

Jon what does the bottle cap look like? If it is the same as the bottle might make a good sign for a building.

Lookin good Jon. Hope you guys get to enjoy the Holiday.
Shawn - The bottle cap is common to all their brews. Just a simple BBC logo - no locomotive.
Hey, Jon, that works…
After havine a nice long weekend it was back to work for the KMRR. During the guys three days off one of the days brought 3-4 inches of rain and some thunderstorms throughout the day. The guys had to get the railcar out for some track inspections. Loading up at the station.

The mention of Friars reminded me of the most famous of all Friars in Merrie Olde England (if there ever was such a place). He was Friar Tuck, Chaplain and friend of Robin Hood and his merrie men. He was more than capable, it seems of looking after himself if it came to a dispute - he was extremely deft with a staff - and knew a good ale when he tasted one.
Looks good, Shawn.
I’ll have to send you some new decals for the caboose.
I had Stan make a few. They look much better
Ralph
Yep, another nice group Shawn.
Twas a bit too hot and humid in this neck of the woods, but I did repaint the firehouse that Bart was bitchin about…
Glad to see someone had some nice weather…

I ran out of track.
Mr. Steve Featherkile, may we see your progress? Me, all I am doing repair of trackage due to the effects of age (10 years), liquid sunshine in western Washington, and so not so good track work.
Paul
My 2011 progress became “unprogress” this week when we had a flash flood. Over three inches of rain in the desert!

Keep it up guys!
