Summer pics 2011 (post em' up)

These pics actually date pre-summer on the CVRR but close enough being only a few days old. I finally got a chance to run my scratched up F-40 with the Superliners in tow followed with a short freight consist. The RR ain’t perfect and lots too do as always but at least I got too run some trains here(still need water under them bridges). I would like too deem this the official “Summer RR pic thread” All those in favor say aye! So post em’ up guys!!

OOOPS

Boss Crumb says “Yeah I love summer too.”

Nice pictures, Rooster.
Too many storms last weekend for me to run trains.
Those Amtrak signs from Hollywood are soooo cool.
Ralph

great pics, birdman…

David-
Many thanks for the photos and encouragement of others.
Here’s the question unasked – at least not in my memory: What is the story behind your “Rooster” moniker?
With my name “Wendell,” I have in common with you a name appearing with the same requency as “Rooster!”
Thanks,
Wendell

That “Ambrick” is a looker, and the Superliners. Boss Crumb looks like he’s having fun in the “Boss Crumb” way. Around here we railroad where we can when we can - a still then an 11 second clip  Dude, if I were you, I’d be gettin my little kitty butt outta that tunnel real quick like.

Even though there’s not enough to see, apparently he caught the smoke? [url=http://s196.photobucket.com/albums/aa309/FSW4picts/Georgie%20Kitty/?action=view¤t=MVI_7625.mp4]

Not in a garden setting, but still outdoors. This was my local club’s display for Rail Day 05/14/11 in Roanoke, VA. We are set up on what used to be the passenger platform, now part of the O. Winston Link Museum.

Actually Jon they were just all random shots and I didn't really line up any as I don't have fresh ballast down nor is the RR properly groomed. Besides if the trash can wasn't there you would just see an ugly privacy fence in the background?

Now that is funny!

Good stuff dad

Nice pics Andy

That sort of head on shot entering the bridge gives the train a great sense of presence.

Andy the railroad is looking great. I finally got to run some trains after some severe thunderstorms moved in late in the day. A friend of mine came over with his kitbashed roundhouse live steamer (I forget what roundhouse model it was after the kitbash). While we waited for the boiler to heat up I ran my Climax. We had the roundhouse pull some of my rolling stock. The lighting was nbot great because of clouds and late in the evening.
