Thanks all - it was fun :D :D
I ran a bunch on Sunday, but didnāt get any pictures as I was trying to come up with a half decent switch list.
And yesterday was spent with rebuilding a switch in Mancos that I wasnāt happy with. So maybe today I will manage some pixā¦
Jon,
Those are great pictures! Many new photo angles I have not seen before of your railroad. Your work has really turned out fantastic. Long Bridge and Coal Dump Curve are great photo spots.
Great pictures Ralph and Jon. I wish I was able to run trains over the weekend. My holiday weekend starts tomorrow and of course heavy rain is in the forcast.
Ralph - you should take the turnout in the first shot and run it up to my RR. I love the colors
Jon - I love that cut in your one shot.
13 more days till fall is officially here. The trees in the swamps and bog out here are starting to turn. Looking forward to fall running.
Getting into the spirit of things here, I thought Iād post a few too.

That stuff is 1/4" Quarry stone. Experimenting with that to see how it holds up over the winter.
I was mainly out there trying to come up with a feasible switch list, but I got am email from Bob and heās working on some fixes for TrainOpsā¦hopefully this week.
Nice photos Ken, that new station looks mighty nice on site.

Ken, Nice run, and the railroad looks greatā¦

Hopefully Iāll have most of that area back filled with dirt before winter. As you can see itās pretty flat and the only water flow is where the walk is. The sawmill will be to the right of the Japanese maple with a small pond and stream flowing from above the wall and down to the area just on this side of the tree.

Thereās a track plan posted on my expansion thread and though whatās on the ground now differs a bit from the plan, thatās basically what I have in mind for this areaā¦but that could change tooā¦ http://www.largescalecentral.com/LSCForums/viewtopic.php?id=11282
I really enjoyed that. What kind of camera are you using?

Quote:I've got an open house this Sunday, and will be shooting a new piece then. Don't ask me when it will be edited... If anyone's going to be in Denver on Sunday and wants to come over, let me know. I'll get you directions.
... still waiting on the 2nd installment!
Quote:Just your run-of-the-mill Panasonic MiniDV Palmcorder. Nothing fancy--and small enough to fit inside the observation car!

Quote:Having audio software that lets me stretch the time between chuffs helps, too. I haven't decided if I'm going to dub in sound again this year, or let the sound systems that I installed over the winter do their thing. The loco I want to feature this year doesn't have sound, so I'll probably use the dubbed stuff. I've really got to find my older Georgetown Loop tapes when GLRR #40 was running.

Sound systems are nice when you are in the garden running trains, but they always sound small on video. The dubbed sound is awesome.
Someone sent me a bunch of audio from the old Edaville RR. Some good stuff there.
