Summer fun

I took a few shots of some new additions to the RR. (Not my best shots sun was too brite for a change) New Bachmann log cars, have to weather them still.

Now that I have my new aristo train engineer I had to change around my switch boxes to turn the power on/off for my sidings. I came up with this. I have a outdoor switch box I painted brown and added a metal roof to it. (the metal has to rust yet. The roof sits straighter now. I had to fix it after seeing how off it was in the shot LOL Im still playing with it but I might add some wood to the box to make it look more like a shack

A new jack ass moved into the homestead (donkey)

Cool pictures Shawn!
I see you modeled Dave Marconi between your structure and outhouse:lol:

Can we make this a summer picture thread for all?
If so post em’ up!

How’d you know that was me hiding in the wood pile?

Shawn really looks good. Nice shots.

Dave

Tom that can’t be your kid he has shoes on.

OK - Her’s my contribution. With track work done (for now), the CVSRy scheduled a Photo Freight powered by a lash-up of vintage Alco RS-3’s. But before a heavy consist could travers the track, the inspection crew went out with a 44 Tonner and the North Slope Southern’s Track Cleaning / Track Inspection car. It is hugely unreliable. Picks the points every time facing point through the straight route. The gauge through the points looks tight. I’m going to have cut a short straight and pull it up for major service. The other 4 I bought 5 years ago have never given me any trouble.

Finally, The caboose pulls into the walkway crossing (WALK) - FF: Click to Enlarge - IE: Right Click Photo and select Open Link in New Window to Enlarge I took over 200 pictures during this run. It sure was tough deciding which ones to post. I had hoped to run a 1:20 steam train, but after I was done crawling around taking all these pictures, the easy chair looked more inviting  As a side note, I had planned on running a battery powered train, but at the last minute decided to try the 44 tonner on track power. This is the first time the rails have seen power since early spring. Surprisingly, there were no problems at all. The triple header ran perfectly on track power.

Jon, looks like it was a very successful run…

I’m glad to see the Lehigh Valley is still in service, Jon.

Jon,

Great pictures and the track work looks fantastic. Really enjoyed viewing the loading docks with rolling stock at Walk.
