Summer fun

Ken,

Your railroad looks great! Nice to see the trains running. We are suffering are first hot spell in over month. Actually, just normal temps for this time of year. Grandson and I were out for a couple of runs, but heat drove us inside.

Some great pictures from everyone. I especially like this picture from Ken. All it needs is a small bush at the corner of the house. Great scene. Ralph

Jon, Nice to see trains running. Everybody’s RR looks great! Here’s a few more from the CVRR this past July Thanks again Shawn for letting us share your thread!

David, That station needs a covered platform to service that big passenger consist. Petticoat Junction didn’t see any Diesel traffic  Who’s Shortybear ? I picture him/her with a roll of Charmin  Ralph

Excellent shots from everyone!

Ken’s really stand out. It must be the weathering or the paint shades/tones or something… Whatever it is, they have a very realistic look to them. I’d bet a few of his shots with selective crops could be used as real 1:1 shots and most people would never know the difference.

Jon.

WOW! I appreciate the comments.

I’m enjoying all the pictures of you guy’s layouts. Very inspiring, to say the least!

Great pictures everyone. Keep them coming. I will try to get some more pictures mid week.

As for the station stop…nobody said that the train stopped there? It just passed by and it’s actually a model of the still standing and quite historic Washington St. station on the original CVRR here in town. The oldest know passenger car in the U.S. is sitting at Strasburg Museum which was originally owned by the CVRR.

I should have known you modeled a real station. I think you need another tower :) Ralph

Jon,
Your right they do look killer! Perhaps someday soon his toys can invade the CVRR trackage rights!!!
I personally like Radders pics as it’s more my cup of tea and those RS units need rebadged to CVRR

Shawn’s original post started this thread and I remember one of his first posts. I totally enjoyed how he made use of typical stuff we throw away or destroy one way or another. So once again thanks Shawn for a good thread!

Here are a few more pictures I took today. Been mostley cloudy all day, much better light for picture taken. Sorry I posted so many can never decide what pictures to use.

Nice…your ground covers a filling in nicely.

Very nice. I really like the big rock in #8. Your lucky to have natural features like that
