..............all as a result of Global Warming causing extremes of climate change. That is an indisputable fact.
Still incorrect, it is disputable.
Global Warming = colder temperatures???
TonyWalsham said:Well quick get into your rowboat and hightail it to Alaska, there is about to be a major eruption there that will spew more CO2 into the atmosphere than man has created from burning fossil fuels since the dawn of time.
We just helped it along at a rate of warming that has never been equalled in all our history. That rapid rate is down to mankind releasing stored carbon mainly through combustion for energy.
Hurry up, and let us know how you make out.

Look at the last one hundred years -Man farms livestock on an unprecedented scale - methane - global warming
Man burns fossil fuel (coal) to create electricity - carbon dioxide produced - global warming
Man burns fossil fuel (oil) - global warmming
Man destroys forests on an unequalled scale (for short-term economic gain), not matched in our history - less carbon dioxide able to be absorbed - global warming
Man develops flourocarbons to enable refrigeration - hole in the ozone layer - global warming
As I type this, I am using electricity sourced from a coal-fired power station to run my computer, the airconditioner and refrigerator are running at capacity and I live in a timber-framed house that is sited on land that was once covered in trees.
Which of these “causes” warmed Greenland enough back in 1,000 AD to allow it to be a major farming community???
Disputable? Sure, there still is a “Flat Earth Society” too, isn’t there?

Not to be insulting, but why are so many of the man-is-a-plague-upon-the-Earth crowd all from outside the USA? Is it jealousy? Hatred of US lifestyle?
Since the US is a large consumer by virtue of our free-market republican society, we seem to be the bully to the world. Fine we’ll keep our technology and foreign aid, and ya’ll can deal with your own tsunamis, earthquakes and terrorists.
I am a bit tired of being blamed for all the world’s ills.

David,
Need something interesting to read?
100 Ways America is screwing up the world written by an American who is the Executive Director of MIT’s Center for International Studies.
Flat Earth Society…oh you me us guys sitting here enjoying a good Whisky, and the company of these great young ladies…oh ya…we meet every Friday and enjoy the thought of somebody down there mucking out the Elephants.
The Giant Turtle needs mucking out only once a month, and I hope this month isn’t my turn…!!!
…of course, this is all over the heads of a lot of people. And there are those that think Whisky should be spelled with an E. On top of it all; some are married and only get to drink good Whisky with one woman, or with just the boys…!!!..and still others think that drinking any Whisky at all will send them directly to Hell without even passing “Go”…!!!
Yes it’s my turn to look after the Turtle on Sunday, and the Elephants, every day next week…!!!

Just like Mt. Pinatubo did in the Philippines in 1991. But Global Warming didn’t start until Algore lost the election in 2000 and needed a job.

Geoff,
My recommendation was for “something interesting” to read. Now on the Limbaugh guy, welllll reading some of his quotes automatically had me associate him with Limburg cheese.

And then I saw a picture of him!
Here are two books for you to read. I have read the second one which contains some information on GW as we are discussing. Contrary to what AlGore says, the debate is not over yet.
