Had the signs printed out by Stan, now it’s just a matter of placing them. Finished off the base. Had to add some height to it.

Ken, The pawn shop looks great…
Haha I love it. You can put a bench on the outside and have a sign for the smelly Appalachian trail hikers “thru hiker only” Its a place for them to hang out rather then inside because they smell so bad.

I have found a few signs; loans, chew Mail Pouch tobacco, some brand of Overalls, Dickies, Wool Blankets. Being a Trail Guide he would sell some camping and hiking stuff. What I’m looking for is a miniature pair of snowshoes/ skis, that type of thing.
Steve, that’ll be part storage/warehouse and living quarters.
While all this has been going on, he’s been a little distracted. He’s also wooing the local school marm who teaches at the little one room schoolhouse outside of town. We’ll see how that goes…
Make sure that school teacher has blonde hair and maybe a pair of glasses. Hmmmm maybe you can get Ray to sculpt the figures.
shut up Rooster
Man that looks amazing. I really like the rolled on roofing on the awning too. VERY NICE!!!

That roofing is “Non Skid” stuff for steps and ladders. I found some at Lowe’s after Bruce had used it on one of his buildings. Very rubbery and very sticky…

I didn’t think you smelled that bad or maybe it was cause I had a stuffy nose…
For the most part I think it’s done.
There’s a few little details I’ll add to it.
Very well done, my friend.
You outdid yourself Ken. My wife loves it. You can ship it here when the final details are on
Super job Ken, The signage really brings it to life. To bad Shawn will have to wait for all that snow to melt before he can put it out.
Neat build, Ken. Love the roof lines.
Didja ever try to make G scale snowshoes?..sheesh…
Paper clips, thread, window screening and super glue…
Love it, great job Ken.
Snowshoes and a bench for the weary hikers…
Hah! Looks great Ken
Nice detail Ken. A fine job Shawn will have plenty of lowlifes coming in to hock their stolen goods
What??? No cross country skis? No fishin’ poles?
While going through an old GR Mag, I came across an ad for an outfit called Stoneworks. They deal in cut stone for the garden railroader. Since the GR that I was reading was from 1998, I figured the odds of them still being in business were slim and none, but nothing ventured, nothing gained.
Son of a gun, the website still works.
www.rrstoneworks.com.
If Lowes can’t help you, perhaps they can.
