Thanks for that… I’ll do as you say… though not making “controversial statements” may be a bit tough around here… since it seems sometimes simply listing the facts can indeed be controversial… LOL… I do believe you though, maybe not the 99.9% though, slightly lower perhaps, seeing as how already a few have decided to ignore the factual progression and continue to attack me for things that don’t concern them! (Course, I guess if I preface everything with “it’s just my friggin opinion” I can call a spade, a spade - or in this case - a jerk, a jerk…)

Again thanks for that… though - the prevailing thought now is the base is cast in… (though I swear there are “cut lines” or what I would call part lines on my Bmann K, so it really does appear to be a separate part - I wonder if it’s chemically bonded to the boiler shell at the factory?)
And to the statement “Never mind the quality, feel the width” coupled with David’s above comment about “boobs” - well heck, I’m starting to question just what it is we’re talking about on the forum! LOL!

Thanks for the advice, and the welcome… I’ll most likely do as you and Shawn have mentioned… and avoid the last name… it’s certainly out there from place to place, but like others I need to try avoid the “googling” masses… it comes with my job (which actually speaks to the source of the name…) I’ll be sure to share the origin one of these days.
(BTW - is there some sort of award for being attacked before I was ever even a member of LSC, on LSC? Seems like that might be some kind of accomplishment!!)

Statement… which I have done multiple times in the past here on LCS where I choose to post.
This thread only caught my eye as you called a member that I personally have met an “arrogant ass” on your 3rd post. Perhaps he was incorrect in your eyes but I personally would question his expertise publically not flame him with vulgarity on your 3rd post?

As to the way we approach things - to each his own, eh? If someone is going to make a statement that I’m the one at fault, without all the facts, then, I’m gonna call them on it… I must say though - it sure feels like this is the most “sensitive” group of large scalers I’ve met… all the concern over “vulgarity” Really? I’ve not said a single word that isn’t in prime time, before-the-watershed, network television! I mean, if you WANT vulgarity - I can certainly dish it out… LOL!!

Please accept my post here as close as I can to unbiased observation. Please also keep in mind that there are no vocal inflections in written material, so what you meant to say vs. what was interpreted by the reader may not be the same thing.
After reading your deleted post from the B’mann site and looking a second time at the parts site, my first impressions was that your post was a little ‘vehement’, to say the least. On the surface I also felt you may have misread what was offered, and I read your post as an open attack on B’mann.
Did this particularly open you up to Brian’s commentary, I don’t know. Would you have responded to Brian’s commentary in the same vehement manner had you not been so upset with B’mann, we don’t know. Maybe your response could have been more inquiring as to why Brian felt that way instead of the reaction you presented. As for the language you chose for your responses, I feel that it was unnecessary. I read these forums, many times with my grandchildren reading over my shoulder, and would appreciate if you choose to stay at LSC you not use that language in the future.
As for the real name vs alias - my background on the forums I have been a member of (up until LSC), they have always looked for a ‘Handle’, so I followed that here. Had I been a lurker before joining I would have seen that real names are the way to go. I am also a member of ‘the other site’, and have read and respected your posts there.
As I stated at the outset, this is intended as an observation, not an attack you your character.

OK Dudes.
Here is the bottom line.
Bachmann advertise parts to be now available. Two of those parts are advertised (misleadingly as it transpires) as a Sand Dome and a Steam Dome (not parts of said domes) for a K-27.
They also advertise the domes for the 2-8-0 as Sand Dome and a Steam Dome. If ordered as such you apparently get the base as well. Customer is well within his rights to expect the K-27 domes will be complete with base.
Customer orders said K-27 parts and does not get what Bachmann misleadingly advertised.
Customer complains on the Bachmann website.
Fortunately the ever vigilant TOC manages to copy across the text of the posting on the Bachmann forum before the posting on said website is subsequently deleted.
Now who do you think is the guilty party in this saga.
