I am reminded the Richter brothers also ran EPL the way they wanted also …that worked out well …oh wait…errr
Correction: Rolf Richter was Johannes Richter’s cousin.
My bad, HJ

IF Lewis cashed out of Aristo and left his son a smaller company to run, it is his right to do so.
As for the new web-site and address for Crest, it most likely does indicate future changes.
If one reads Tate’s post, he uses the word IMMINENT
Ralph
As the Richter boys are cousins, so Scott is actually Lewis’s nephew (not his son). We would not want anything other than facts to invade this discussion.

That’s all anyone was saying…best to be a bit forewarned so you don’t get blindsided.
Blinders work if you don’t care about it.
Wait until next week was the battle cry with the LGB meltdown.
And I read TATE’s post…and screen shotted it.
I hope it all works out.
With LGB gone from the US market for now, Bachmann pricing themselves way up the pay scale, who knows what USA will be doing…might be a Biblical Famine approaching.
It is a good thing I have enough to last me as long as I need it. Otherwise I might be worried.
We know, for a fact, any possible troubles cannot be related to quality issues. All one has to do is read the Aristo Forum to know those folks never, as in ever, have any problems with their equipment at all.
And if some minor glitch does show up, they are assured by Lewis himself that this has never happened before, so send it in so we can fix it for you.
It’s a very friendly, helpful forum, full of knowledgeable folks who will tell you people who try to point out issues and fixes are just bashing.
Seems to be a lot of reference to bashing.
Wonder what they’re talking about?

Well, I read Tate’s comment. It made sense to me. While there. I looked at what stock was available and the ‘heavily discounted’ prices. In reality, the super low prices are only the prices that the discount dealers were offering online over the past few years. I really could not see anything ‘cheap’, given all the hype of discount sales on the site.
When one refers a discount to a nominal MSRP then an item looks ‘cheap’. However, few have actually paid MSRP ever, so in reality, the discount is the nominal price. How many have seen household lighting supply stores with a permanent 60% discount on retail. Well, the site reminds me of those stores that never charge retail, but always have permanent discounts. The MSRP in reality is the discount price!!!
Edit: post editted for grammar mistakes.

You’ve got it!
His real name is David Russell, a preacher’s son…his mother is/was the preacher…David is a fine young lad, being led astray by several people, but he still works hard as a GP for highly bred, high end, automotive products. David is a fine modeller, who is deep into fine detail, and new methods of creating great models.
His models of Amtrak equipment, on one end of the spectrum, and very early American steam locomotives, on the other; are greatly admired by anyone that has seen them.
Call him whatever you like, but call him in time for dinner, and expect a friendly hug…!!
His tastes in bheer could be improved with help from a few new friends…

Fr Fred,
David is not being led astray, he is leading the charge!

Yeah just like the Rooster in the Bremen town musicians, on top of the heap crowing loudly.

Hope it’s not just a lie from TATE, lol
I hope it has some motor blocks in it…
RRRRRRRRRRRR…Ummmmmmmm RRRRRRRRRRRR.
I’m very glad that when I was looking at the Revo vs Battery a few years ago that the revo didn’t fit in the budget. I can modify an engine with a $5 esc and $8 RX, can’t beat that price, and i use my power tool batteries so there was no $ investment at all for battery. I know some think that after 4 engines battery cost more, but i’d like to kindly disagree.
I also modified my controller to operate 4 locos at the same time AND with unlimited linking to esc’s was by far the best solution of the time. On a 250’ mainline running more then 4 consists is difficult in that it looks unrealistic. I run 2 on the mainline and have 2 in the yards working which works for me. Having to thumb through a small screen to find a loco and control it doesn’t appeal to me at all, I love being able to control the 4 i’m running at the same time with the 4 controls on the RC controller. (Oh and i say 4 locos at a time but mu’ing with the TX on the same channel I actually run more then 4 engines at a time, so I should have said, run 4 lash ups at a time)
And apparently if I understand everyone I’m glad I don’t have to worry about a single company going under.

Hi Mark -
I’m sure a lot of people would be interested in your low-cost R/C solution. Why don’t you make a post in Power & Sound with the details of where you source the components, how they work together and what you use as a controller.
