Nice bridge. How are you gonna hide that tree  Ralph

I’ve got the same problem. The tree becomes a 10,000 year old Giant Maple - 48 feet in diameter and nearly 200 feet tall  Or you could try this… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zeSj3rjHyAw

Ol’ Donald got hisself a heckova layout…

Jon, you’re who I got the bridge idea from

Ralph, the tree is the reason for the bridge. My line runs close to a giant maplewood forest. This particular tree scales to around a 300’ diameter. It won’t be logged by the local lumber company.

Ken, and a pair of fun stoppers to boot

Coming along nice Holleywood. I could tell you have not had much rain this summer as well.

This cartoon is probably what Walt did in his backyard!

Shawn we’ve been hit with a few downpours, but mostly dry.

I have my own tree. This one’s a Maple. I’m thinking of painting the base white and putting some Texaco decals on it. Ralph

Ralph - Great idea.

Let me see if I can come up with enough scrap white styrene from work to wrap around the base. How big around is the tree (allow for some growth) and how tall
would it need to be to keep the top edge out of a picture like that one?

Jon,
I guess this one slipped by me
Thanks for the offer. I’ll measure and let you know.
Ralph

OK Ralph -

You may need to paint both sides. The scrap I’m thinking of has 4 color graphics printed on one side

M.T.Pockets called the bridge crews out this week and had them ready White Rock Pass for the new bridge from Rooster Metal Works. The bridge is a fully welded deck truss with a 140’ span.

A great looking bridge Hollywood. Da Rooster is good for something other than squawking from his perch on the hen house!

…winking…

Nice bridge… I know who made it… hope your insured…

Very nice. Now where’s that firehouse  Ralph

Where’s the guard rails?..

I have to say that bridge looks great. Only reason why rooster helped was it gives him a nice roost above the trains now. Now you are going to be cleaning rooster shat from the tracks. That rooster is a good bridge builder. He left his mark on the KMRR and now yours. By the way nice article in GR.

LOL has that boy of yours ever asked you if you needed a nice metal bridge?
