Ralph

Thank you. Clean up starts today

Dave… It’s taking shape nicely… good work…

Bringing this back for an up date. The summer has been a little hot, but work has been done. Usually in the mornings before 10 A.M. After this my work was done in the shade or under A/C. The first pic shows track at the base of a maple tree. Because of the roots at that point, a bridge is needed to keep from burying them.

Therefore one of my summer projects was:

and from an angle

A couple of heavy rains also came through and I found a few areas that are subject to more washout than expected. So with some used brick and a time frame from 6:30 to 10 AM I have been able to get the following done.

Only able to move so much dirt at a time, and built wall as I went along. The built up areas are well packed and I had no problems with collapse as I worked this area. I still have a few more areas to work and I was able to acquire some BFRs to use in the more open spaces.

I still have to make the abutments for the plate girder bridge, and the pier. The BFRs I have will be placed in the next couple of weeks and I will try to collect some more. Brick retaining walls will be worked on as I get mortar and time. i have also managed to rebuild two more locos for my passenger train. This will give me an ABBA set. When the striping and lettering are done I’ll post pics

OK,
You and Shawn are both putting me to shame. I could explain away Shawn by telling myself he’s a young guy
Now you blew that theory all to hell

Nice job.
Ralph

Just say that Bruce stolt yer Mojo at York…I’ve been
using that excuse fer several years…

Thats looking nice. I really like the way the brick wall looks.

Ralph if you didnt have to babysit Rooster all the time you would be able to get some work done. Just blame it on him. LOL

Look’s bangin Hollywood…
Shawn …pray that my shop continues to stay incredibly busy so I have no time for my hobby!

Looking good Dave! The brick wall is a great idea. I may steal that

Dave… those are the same pictures you showed in chat… ain’t got any NEW ones???

All those pics were taken this week as I haven’t taken any for a while. I’ll try to show more progress by the end of next week.

Some of us weren't there in chat to see them ;) I'm anti-social and have to wait until it hits the forums :D Ralph

all those heavy materials!
just looking at these pics makes my back hurt!

I like the brick wall. It gives it a much more permanent and finished look.

Got a chance to install the new plate girder bridge today.
