Large Scale Central

Mik's 2019 Canteen

Is it done yet… Naw… can’t be it’s Not Thursday yet like I predicted… But almost…

Barbed wire is premium wire, on the top pic, to the right, you can see my roll of baling wire … with matching patina!

A deep thought would be to rivet it all together with the baling wire, it’s soft enough to form and I’ve peened my share.

We’ll see what the gods allow.

Cha cha changes …

Well the old tank leaked a bit and it was small. Our metal smiths cut out the bad and rebuilt it and increased capacity … (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

Yep a mirror image;

this project has taken some winding turns han’t it

I can still see a smoke generator involved… especially with that bony guy sittin there…

A skeleton with a smoke generator you say

I know where I’m going, just not sure of the route.(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-tongue-out.gif)

The journey is the destination. Deep!

Where does it come out? I do have an old Aristo 0-4-0 smoke unit… snake oil might be a problem … and it’s own power, but hey, why not?

I was thinking inside of the round can. Maybe put a candle in the other, and take a pic some evening…

Wise man once told me if you know where you are going, you don’t need a map and if you don’t, well … the map won’t do you any good (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-surprised.gif)

Thinking?(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-surprised.gif) I think !(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif) I see your problem … there is a big ol’ battery in there. This is going to be a functional battery/canteen car. I’m going to smaller removable packs. My attention spans and naps collide(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-embarassed.gif) er easier to keep fresh ones on hand; one fresh, one charging and one operating. Still cheaper than two bigger units.(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

OK, missed that it was a functional battery car.

So what’ll you do for a matching loco?

Survive…

Then the c-16, already has foot boards up front, then maybe a tin on sticks open air cab, followed by a winged rusty tin can…

If it has to match, I’m not sure I care yet.

Well, regardless of the loco, this juicer car looks great all on its own, and will look great on your layout. Such a great theme / look, totally unique.

I’ve been to the big city … no awesome 7" scar in my future.

Reality knocked down my #1 option to last place … and took the c-word with it. 98% > 88% (estimated success rate) and on Oxygen (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-surprised.gif)24/7, Previous scar tissue is difficult to cut clean and sew properly and I can’t afford to sacrifice viable lung with that lobe’s removal …

I now am looking forward(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-sealed.gif) to a second round of chemo and radiation if new radiation techniques can allow for previous treatments…

Then if my luck improves I might get into an Imuno Therapy which is now being used with chemo… fingers and eyes crossed!(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

Contest news: more rust to come, I have an idea!

Well John,

As your saga continues I hope they keep gaining you improvements.

I’m just trying not to get worse or worst.(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

I have an idea for you ( I hope we are at a place where I can poke fun at you and your condition (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-tongue-out.gif)(http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)) you need to get into compressed air locomotives. Then you can make walk beside locos that run off your new O2 bottle appendages.
