I don’t like it much…
Tuesday I have two more tests to endure to see if I can qualify for the operation that removes the cancer and the radiation burned tissue from the first cancer. The C-word gets attached to this option…
My other options include the chemo and maybe radiation, we don’t know if my previous maximum dose pertains to that area or me in total… maybe the newest ImunoTherapy
If I get the operation, I figure a week to 10 days to fear the reaper, er prepare for the cutter. These ups and downs are wicked, then sis says a month to recover before she’ll let me move back here. Maybe weekends.
Tues 15th 9am test
1 pm Qv test
Tues 22 Meet with my surgeon and Cancer Doc to learn my fate.
Excuse me for diverting my mind…
It’s too new, looks like plastic and fails to satisfy my addiction for whimsy.
I have a rusted out tin can I like better.

Oh John, you sly devil. Admit it, you have been planning this for years.(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-foot-in-mouth.gif)
(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-embarassed.gif)But I did fess up that while the parts were gathered, absolutely no work was done prior to this am. I collected the barrels and drums a couple years back, just because.
Just 1yr. sorta …

Wow, that’s a lot of stuff on that car. I am looking forward to see how it comes together…
Me too! (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-embarassed.gif)
Praying all goes well John
I think I might have mentioned that the ending won’t resemble the beginning … y’know I’ve stared at those parts for over a year and it never grabbed me. Everybody wraps plastic pipe with flashing tape and it just looks too plastic… the whole BFC! I went scrounging in the bits…
Oooooohh yeah! Rustic!
PS;
2 tests tomorrow, then a week of high anxiety, until I see my Docs.
I studied.(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-surprised.gif)
John,
You have discovered the most kick ass weathering technique for rust. Who would have thought to.use rust to resemble rust. Genius
Nice rust! I hope all your stress and anxiety ends up wasted
Best of luck. Glad you studied!
And P.S. I love your sense of humor in the face of real trying times. I hope and pray like hell that your cramming for the exams pays off and you pass with flying colors. Just in case, consider putting the answers on a piece of paper and hide them in your shoe. I really really want you to get an A
John, I hope your tests go well tomorrow. I will be thinking about you and praying for you. As Devon stated, study tonight and fix you a cheat sheet. I don’t think the Doc will mind. I admire the courage folks like yourself, Devon and others on this site have to endure these trying times in life and still be here sharing this hobby with us. I know I don’t have to say this and I’ve probably said it before but in the words of the late Jimmy Valvano, “Don’t give up… don’t ever give up”. Oh, BTW, I love your rusting technique. It looks very realistic (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif). Good luck tomorrow.
I agree … Humor helps tremendously …(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif) It’s like we’re all there with you … Just don’t sand in the waiting room by your self saying …don’t crowd me … (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)Good luck…
Good luck today, John.
words of a swordmaster named farrel: “Not today!”
Enough about me, it’s a new beginning…
Here’s a hint;
Trucks and under frame, including full brake rigging from a classic Spool car. A bit of rust from a local mine … Square cut nails in the bin.
I expect a couple of comments on my work bench … cleaning is boring.(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)
Looks to me like everything is right where you need it within arms reach. And I mean EVERYTHING. Does it smell funny, because I am sure if Geraldo were to look he’d find Hoffa somewhere in there. (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-surprised.gif)
John, I would feel right at home with that workbench (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)
Builds itself.
I am just enamored with your weathering technique that rust looks. . .well. . . Real.
Suh-weet, John! But where’s the barbed wire? Gotta have barbed wire… (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-foot-in-mouth.gif)
Maybe add a smoke generator?
