Victor,

INHO LGB of America is not dead, I think they are very much alive & will keep Marklin out of North America until they get a good deal for the logo… Again IMHO…

Unfortunatly I’m reminded of the old phrase about a very hot place freezing over.

Whats to stop Marklin from simply reboxing European made LGB products into Marklin boxes and selling thru another distributor? or instead of to get around the issue of cast inplace trademarks doing a little retoling and instead of using LGB simply remarketing it as “EPL Trains” or “Lehmann Trains” or just as Marklin? Nothing I can see, they start selling it over here, same stuff, new name, people here wont give a wet fig if the product is the same or better, anyone still crying about Delton?

Hi Victor,
you mentioned: Whats to stop Marklin from simply reboxing European made LGB products into Marklin boxes and selling thru another distributor?

i guess the LGB logo would be still on the different parts molded in the material. I remember also a fight between an american manufacturer and LGB, because the track was to alike. i guess it is not that simple.

BTW Tony is way too nice to ever say what I mentioned. Just my thoughts voiced through a third party.

Yep lots of echo, and on top still many attempts to stir up trouble, searching for anything wrong. some folks go even so far that they read in foreign forums, that with the fact that they do not even talk any other language.

PJ,

Probably less that 10% of Large scalers are ever on-line, but there are some that like to use any negative comment to attack a certain three letter product.
I know that these “defekts” are not the norm. Some of us just like to give it back to the “Kiss Kissers”, “Zimo Zelots” and others that just want to attack certain select products.

I get along just fine in Germany and my wife is even more capable. I’ll send a postcard the next time we are there.

BTW did you ask "Phoney Tony" about the status of LGBoA? He just might tell you, wouldn't he?
What makes ya think that he hasn't already. He did suggest that I tell the "BC JUMBO DUMBO" to watch out for yellow snow!
Wellllll since we have two Huskies in the house/yard/garden; we know all about yellow snow. 27 years of dog ownership has also wised me up to the fact "It's tough to pi.. with the big dogs, if you can't lift your leg far enough". The similes with certain LS related transactions so dear to your heart are strictly coincidental, but hey .... there is always next week. ;)

Pius,

that situation was completely different. OTOH it was ever so nice to see Wolfgang Richter as part of the introduction party for the PIKO track.

Pius,

You gotta consider the fact that Jack is “The Original Ventilator”; there are duties and obligations tied to that. Now in addition to those chores he’s also the owner/moderator of the LGB Family Group on YAHOO. The responsibilities just increased exponentially.

…but not his ability to perceive the “truth”.

Next week indeed.

Tony,

Are you sure?? Hans-Joerg is not sure!!

To be sure to be sure.

I’m sure. Just like I’m free.

At least YOU are free.

Oh that Yahoo family forum, yeah i remember, i was for a short while a member. I canceled that membership within one month, because when LGB went down someone tried to convince me that we should look at LGB like someone who is temporary very ill, that ANY critics is bad for that so very ill person. Even then i had the feeling that truth does not matter, and i prefer to stick to the truth, even if it is sometimes not that convenient. Defenitive i would not like to find my name on a forum member list, if the content is controlled or manipulated.
hey, i guess it is just how some humans are. I am sure you seen the Ford and Chevy Pickups with that little sticker of a boy on the back window, the boy which pees on either brand name. The truth is that both brands suck, but some just try to cover up that by blind love. Like my kids say, blame first your sister, if it does not work blame your dog, and if that does not work blame the flying monkeys.

Hey Dave,

What now next week eh?

How about next day?

I guess the money was followed after all?

And apparently has been for some time now?
I wonder aloud how far it will go?

Do we hear a Sgt Schultz defence being trotted out?

is it not the question what he defended, his interest, or the interest of the firm , or the public interest, that would determent if Schultz walks. Yup, we will know next Week.

PJ,
As we haven’t heard from them yet, I guess those aforementioned “ventilators” must be scrabbling around trying to find out exactly what is going on eh?

Delton and Kalamazoo had the very same logos stamped on their molds, dont see them on any current HLW USA or Aristo products made from those very same molds. Easier to replace than one might think

If Marvin is lost for words four or five posters will also be stumm.
