Ge 6/6" 705 "Pontresina"
Ge 4/4’ 607 "Surselva"

G4/5 108
Thanks!
Three more ready for picture taking but not in a thunderstorm/downpour.
D&H RS-3 # 908
Tac, not Shawmut, checked with Jerry yesterday.
This is an expertly created unit, one trait for ID is that the couplers are painted the gray as the body. Something keeps telling me I have seen this before?

BRAWA, it was their entry into the LS (2m) market along with the matching passenger consist. Top notch stuff, the only drag was them farming out the drive train through ARISTO resulting in less than stellar performance for the first batch and for anyone who wanted to retrofit a decoder.
BRAWA issued a recall and fixed the problem on the basis of the DIGITOYS solution http://www.digitoys-systems.ch/cms/index.php i.e. a Maxon motor http://www.maxonmotor.com/maxon/view/content/index and a timing belt instead of reduction gearing.
Mine was shipped after they made the correction. Runs like an expensive Swiss watch.
It’s a bit odd , I bought the G4/5 just before I got the set of 4 Brawa coaches , but the loco fleet number is 107 . I don’t remember the drive problem either . Senior moments ? I seem to remember that 107 has a belt drive to 1 and 3 Drivers .
I suppose I should look at it tomorrow in daylight (its 2140 here and dark)

Yea, I remember seeing them advertized. I really liked the look of them and wanted one. Until I saw the price, E-Gads!

It’s the “quantity or quality” conundrum.

OK , Saturday ; broad daylight shows it to be a KISS model
Odd to relate , it has no maker’s name on it that is visible . It might have one tucked away inside , but it weighs a ton and would not take too kindly to handling .

ps some of us have quality and quantity , nothing wrong with that .
Here’s the other steamer residing on RhB layout Grischun
The steps by the pilot axle were added when the engine was used for switching duties at Chur, one could call it the brakeman’s platform.
Two of the oldie electrics that followed the steam era.
In this formation they would often show up pulling excursion trains with an assortment of old coaches.
Or heading up a heavier than usual freight train.
Other than that it was light local passengers for 205 and wayfreights and/or local passenger trains for the Kroks. As mentioned before: era '69 - '75 on the upper Albula line.
Just arrived Ge 2/4 212
Perfect condition, she will see switching duty at both Samedan and Thusis.
PS the big V designates the front (Vorne)
PPS a few more to take pictures of.
Here’s a shot of my recently acquired Shay that I was asking all the questions about…
Here are some of mine.
