To those who questioned Some of us will be at Ken’s getting things in order if needed. I called Ric and his response to “Is it OK to show up on Friday?” was/is we will be open to those who chose to or need to be there. Hope that opens the door to those interested.

18 April, 2022 - Touching base after being absent for awhile. We plan to be there on Thursday to get things organized. All help is appreciated. I have offers for certain pieces and will try my best to honor these with other’s consent. All sales are subject to Bev’s approval. The main day of relocating Ken’s stuff to other railroads is Saturday, but our objective is relocation of stuff, please keep that in mind. You may be asked to take things you don’t really need to help get it off the property. If you can help transfer something to another railroad that Ken visited, please consider dong that. We all need to realize that this will eventually happen to all of us and our significant others, whether spouse, children, or friends. Its time be a friend like Ken always was. Look forward to seeing all of you.

I believe we are talking about the entire RR. There is lots of track, I believe it’s code 250 with numerous hand laid switches. Many buildings, I think most built to 1:24 scale. Lots of rolling stock, mostly Bachmann 1:22 stuff. Locomotives, control systems, etc.
Someone better bring a crowbar to dismantle the structure?
I’d love to join you guys - I did visit Ken’s place once and we had some lively conversations. But (a) it’s our anniversary and SWMBO will want sushi to celebrate, (b) we don’t get in from FL until the 27th so we’ll still be unpacking and (c) we will be packing for our vacation trip starting May 1st. So have fun and I will ask Jerry to keep me posted on what needs relocating!
Sorrily I won’t be able to make it. I have to take my wife to EWR to catch a flight to our Grandson’s First Communion in ATL. The airlines have been changing the flight times almost daily, so I have to be available.
Planning on arriving late morning Saturday as usual.
My lady will be bringing 2 of her grandma " Pennsyltuckyian homemade " apple pies (made in Roosters kitchen) to disperse about the crowd as needed.
Also planning on having means to transfer/relocate but I really have enough of my own stuff and we will figure it out. Either way no matter how magical ROOSTER can be I cannot bring him back and I feel it’s gonna be a tough day for me personally as I’m sure it will be for others!

Its a week from today, next Saturday. GOD willing, we will be there on Thursday by 9AM. Please come over those next 3 days (Thursday, Friday, Saturday) . I hope this works out. All help is appreciated. Someone said, like York, that would be fantastic! Let’s make this a fun event, with a purpose.

Arvy is nearly ready. 4 new tires, new brakes on all 4 axles, washed & de-winterized. Just need to clean the interior and pack! We will be there sometime Friday afternoon. Campground check-in is 2PM, but we are going to try and push that by an hour or two if we can.

I’ll be leaving here mid-morning Friday, and landing whenever traffic lets me get there, looks like roughly 6 hours not counting breaks.
Edit: Looks like the restaurant/bar at the Hilton opens at 5, if that causes people to adjust their travel plans.
