February Snow

WOW!!!
You guys stay safe and wait it out, I have been watching this on weather.com and have never experienced anything like this.
Randy

I’m sorry for you all having the snow storms. How ever because some of you are snowed in and have more time to work on your Challange projects will there be a greading curve for those of use who are not snow bound and still have to go to work?

I don’t know Bruce, you always look at the negative. Here you’ve been upgraded and you don’t think it is a good thing.

Let’s hope you keep the power on. Quick charge the batteries on your engines, now.

Deep down inside I have sympathy for you guys, but you do live awful close to Washington, DC.

If you can make it here, we have a room for you.

Hehehe…maybe “upgraded” was the wrong term.

The good news out of this is that the government is shut down, so our wallets are safe for a day or two.

I’m out of beer. :frowning:

OUT OF BEER! Quick, somebody close, we need to get help to Bruce and especially Jean. I heard the National Guard was called out, but that is in Washington, DC. I knew it was serious, but I thought you stocked up. You may not have been pacing yourself. I do hope you still have some rum (for medical purposes only).

GUYS, this is getting serious. We need to get some help to them.

That's terrible! Had the wife replenish the booze supply yesterday!

Not a a lot of snow here, maybe another 5 inches but that wind is howling and the snow is falling horizontally. We just hoping we don’t lose power again. Four days of plowing and snow removal (a scoop at a time), shoveling, hauling firewood, cutting up down trees with the Stihl has been quite the winter work out! My body is enjoying a day off.

Hey the rooster hasn’t crowed in here this morning, must be holed up tight in the chicken coop.
Randy

Brian,

You may have to make an emergency run for Bruce.

Kind of reminds me of a gal I used to work with. She called in to work one night on grave yard saying she wasn’t going to make it in, because she was having problems with a female personal device. We asked if she needed for us to call 911 for her. She replied no, but wondered if someone could bring her some more batteries.

Here in the Miami of the North, we were completely missed by last weekends storm. We are getting some today. But so far, not what was predicted. I listened to the doom & gloom forecast on TV last night. They said no problem getting to work, but forget going home. Since I have nearly bald tires on the truck, I decided to take a personal day today. Not sure that was necessary.

Im getting heavy snow now and windy. Up to 6 inches already and still a long way to go. Forcast calling for up to 20 inches. So far road crews are keeping up. Main roads slushy.

I was telling Jan of Bruce’s plight of running out of beer. Her only reply was, “You know what’s worse than running out of Beer? It’s your spouse running out of beer.” And you guys wonder why I love her so much.

BRUCE OUT OF BEER ?!!!?? Good heavens, I thought his problem was merely freezing to death! This is much more serious than I thought.

We need to get a Haiti type rescue underway immediately.

Seriously Bruce I hope you and Jean are snug and safe back there.

Outta beer??? Call out the Marines! :stuck_out_tongue:

That’s what I called out, one time, and the sargent tapped me on the shoulder and said…“Soldier; WE ARE THE MARINES…now start digging…!!!”

The measuring stick in the front yard reads 18" combined snow. 8" from the weekend and 10" and counting for today.

Sunny, blustery, and 41…Blue Skies no clouds
