You will get it David. I have only been around here a few months and what you guys are doing just blows me away. Makes my little wooden box cars look like a piece of sh*t. BTW Shawn I am pretty impressed with what you have built as well.
Randy McDonald said:Well then Randy, I'd be pleased as punch if I could make stuff as sh*tty as you do :D

Used the Geep 9 fuel cell, shaved and angled the ends, cut top plates then cut it down the center and added spacers to widen it up.

Decided to make my on chassis instead of working off of the USA chassis. I added plates inside the shell then drilled out screw holes and countersunk the screws. Making for a total of nine screws securing the chassis to the body. This worked out very well and made the chassis and the shell very solid.

I also solved my side window issue by making frames and using thinner lexan for the glass. Beading is still very thin wire conduit wrapped around the lexan. I will add the glass after painting.(I think)

Took it outside for a breath of fresh air and no flash pictures. Not sure I like the pilots or front ladders yet but have overcome a few issues that had me hung up.
Rooster, fine looking loco, you have done well. Others should take note of this. Although I am not a modern diesel fan I admire what you have done. Keep it up!
Damned impressive there Rooster Dad will be proud
Nice! Good solution to your window problems.
She’s looking better and better every time you post ,David…
i can imagine how much time you’re putting into the details ,but it sure is worth it…
Nice work.
Has it moved on it’s own yet ? Those Jeep trucks can be jumpered to run without any wiring in the loco.
Thats really looking good for a diesel. LOL I might allow that to run on my RR.
Shawn said:That thing would wreck every trestle on your line except Cumberland as that was made with real old growth wood and built by real men! ;)

David Russell said:I dont know about that. The cumberland trestle came with a bunch of peck holes and scratches on the legs. Wonder how they got their. I’m blaming the peck holes on the woodpecker frequenting the Norway maple outback!
Is it done yet?
