How are you doing the beading around the glass?
Very piss thin copper wire in black conduit not sure of the gauge.

Seeing the carnage as the snow receed’s

Looks good. Do you use CA or something else to glue it in place?

Thats coming along very nice for a diesel

Yes CA...which was not easy and quite tedious but I have no other ideas on how to create that protruded glass and gasket look I'm after. The windshield doesn't matter too much with reside etc. as that will get a bronze colored tint. The side glass will need more thought and that one side glass shot is the first attempt.

Got the radiators done today and started to trim them out with styrene. They turned out pretty well and as planned you can see the shutters behind the grates depending on the light and angle.

David, as Shawn said “looking pretty good for a diesel”
Randy

Sharp

Good work. No one will realize all the work that went into those radiators that now you can hardly see, but you will know!

Jerry,
Glad you chimed in as I want to know if you made all the ladders/ rungs on your snow blower or can the be purchased?

Dave, those were Ozark Miniatures. Mike Kidman got them for me.(see Kidman Tree Farm)

This is turning out great.

Jon.

Thank you sir! ;)

Made the vents on the sides from 3/16 styrene rods on a .020 base

Trimmed out my radiators and cut fan holes. I made a plate at the top so if I decide to go with the Q type fans I can just add another plate over the existing with holes drilled for that style. I really dislike the rivet detail as I thought it would be a neat idea but I made them too large so either I try and sand them down, invert or inset them externally or I tear the whole roof off and start over. Opinions / suggestions will be gladly accepted.

That is a handsome model.

Rivets look like they scale out to 3/4" to an 1". Not bad at all once painted they’ll shrink a bit. Beautiful work

Bump for page 6

You’ll need to push a little harder to get a new page.

NO NO NO!!! It has to be pictured as an ugly powered boxcar (as you guys call it) whistling down the N.E. Corridor maxin’ out at 100MPH squealing like an owl at 4am… but the rivets are too big on the radiators. With that said…played with the nose a bit and took these shots for reference on angle’s of prototype photos.

Think of them as bolts instead.

Dang, Son… Your doing some great work on my birthday present…

Just can’t understand why he let the secret gift out… hmmmmmmm

It’s only one of three, since you triple head Andy. You’ll just have to show him how to wire the set.
