HA page 17!
Editing to apologize for jacking it up… …I’m just a bit excited with the results of this build that is finally coming to an end!
Jon , the HEP cables are long enough to make functional for a trailing car with battery if necessary.
Dam that looks good. You done good Rooster. Ill even alow you to run that on my layout.
The "Battery Car, will be necessary, when you bring it to the American Invasion in 2011…It will give you an opportunity to show young Bruce how to build a real Diesel…oh, oh…due to his daughter’ poorly planned date for her wedding; The Bruce won’t be here…so the funny looking Bird will be the star of the show and tell…!!
Take off those rail pick-up skates from under the trucks...please.
Rooster,
You done good, but I’ve got to agree with the Fryer, the skates need to go (at least for pictures). Battery cars don’t need skates, but if power axles are used that pickup track power they could provide an extra source of contact. One car for battery, a different car or a DPDT switch for track pick up. Pretty cool!
Looks purty…for a powered boxcar…

Seriously though the Rooster did one fine job on that. A smart and talented bird indeed!

Actually Randy I did win a prize with the paint scheme on it already! This is the final photo dump on this model as I have officially deemed it finished! All the lettering, ladders, sand hatches are on. Do need to neatin’ up the inside(circuit board etc) though.

Great build and congratulations Rooster. Could you see past the grin on your drive home? Hope the inside of that new truck kept it’s New Car smell after you crapped seeing the purple ribbon.
