David, what are the power plugs on the from of the locomotive? Are they real power plugs or cosmetic? Ron
Those are the Head End Power (HEP) cables. Not sure what they were made out of but they look great! Almost looks like they could be functional.

Thanks for answering Rons question as too what they are… currently cosmetic but could easily be used if needed, this has become a build that I thought would be easy but you guys are hard on me!
:stuck_out_tongue:
Thanks… for all input from you guys so far, even though most are not into diesels, I appreciate it!

Looking good. Better then anything on the market. By the way you S U C K

I have not added the U S U C K modules yet Shawn but plan on adding them with this build!
Quite surprised that a steam enthusiast like yourself would even know what a U S U C K module is?
Ha… Shawn gave me page 16

David,

I’m a diesel guy and really like your build!

Great work.

It is my understanding that U S U C K modules are only used north of the Mason-Dixon line ;) Ralph

Further research indicates you are incorrect, Sir. U S U C K E V E N M O R E modules are only used on Volvos which have been fouled by Rooster defication :O Ralph

OK time for another photo dump as I’m almost finished with this model. Critique as you wish but I’m quite pleased with the results. Rear pilot and truck sideframes almost finished

In typical Rooster fashion removable parts (front pilot).

Almost done and need a few more details/weathering to call it finished. I’m “Very pleased” with the out come and I’m sure I will enjoy running it with my currently increasing Amtrak fleet in 1:29 scale. Rooster

looks pretty good to me  Ralph

fantastic job Rooster. Looks like not much left at all

Needs a little weathering, don’tcha think?

Other than that, it looks great!

Just leave it out over the winter and it will be perfect. :stuck_out_tongue:

That is something of which you can be very proud. Well done.

Thank you Tony! I am!!

Unbelievable detail. You’ve been studying at the alter of the Bruce. No wonder he signed your ass

I just love the HEP plug and mu line detail.
