I had to cut some tracks to fit it on this old door. Can’t make it any smaller.
OK then ask for two tables…(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)
did you get one of these …(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)
What size is the door ?

Sean - Lou says it won’t go in his car. It will obviously fit the ECLSTS hall.
It looks like the door is about 6.5’ long and pretty narrow, like a couple of feet.
Is that right Lou?
Greg
It’s the length that is critical. Door is 80", my truck has a 60" bed. That is the absolute smallest it can be and allow for the proper number of 2 axle cars and a Hartland Mack.
No, I’m not going to ride to York and back with the tailgate open.
Lou, as I think Sean was suggesting, how about just bring the track, and setting it up on a couple tables?

I thought that we were suggesting that Lou just needed to buy a bigger vehicle?
You know…nothing REAL big…(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-foot-in-mouth.gif)
Thanks, Bruce, I needed that.
All those in favor of Bruce renting that rig for Lou, stay silent for 60 seconds.
Hmm, hhhhhmmmm, … hmmmm…
OK, motion carried. (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-foot-in-mouth.gif)
If Bruce doesn’t come through, I can help arrange the tables if you want.

Cliff,
That’s NOT a rig - it’s a HOME! (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-embarassed.gif)And, a way of life…
But, to my earlier point…you can have the track there, but without Ric, I don’t think it’s the same experience…(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)

We were…and we were also suggesting that Lou’s wife could operate that rig better than Lou. Nice comparison you picked up off the internet Bruce.
When I approached this topic at Dinner last night, my Wife gently reminded me that “we” had plans to go to Lititz and Hanover involving considerable time away. She also reminded me that I do not have the patience for little ones in the same manner as Ric does.
If I brought everything out and Cliff and I set it up, can I get enough volunteers to guard the stuff while I am not there? And it would be nice if people with more patience than me would step forward to "interface with the young’uns?

I don’t think anyone has the patience that Ric has.
If you’re setting up on Thursday, I’ll be happy to help out. (or anytime, really) I usually helped Ric set his up. As for guards for the stuff, I’ll bring my M-16 and make sure no one gets near it…(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)
What happens in that rig stays in that rig ………
Its not hard to deal with the young ones. Its the “old Farts” that take a real effort.
Lou - we’ll do our best to take " a watch" guarding your toys. Never had anything stolen or damaged, anywhere we have taken our toys.
For those without Facebook this was posted earlier today:
Dan of Star Hobby who is the organizer for the ECLSTS Show has given me permission to post the latest news.
2019 will be the last year for the East Coast Large Scale Train Show to be held at York Fairgrounds in York PA. The Fairgrounds stated that there were no dates for the show in 2020 for March.
Currently Dan is in negotiations with the Maryland State Fairgrounds to hold the ECLSTS Show at the Cow Palace Timonium MD for 2020.
This is actually exciting news because there is a ton of room for the show to grow at the Cow Palace. I’m actually currently at the Cow Palace for the Great Scale Model Train Show.
Permission to post this news given by Dan of Star Hobby.
Thanks for that news Vincent.
Well, that’s cool! A few minutes closer…nice.
Sad news, but Timonium is acceptable. See ya in York, and hopefully, next year in MD.
I am very much looking forward to attending this show this year. I’ll need some help navigating! I’ve never even been to the state!
