No Andy & Jane, no Bruce & Jean, No McCown?
Beuler? Beuler?
No Andy & Jane, no Bruce & Jean, No McCown?
Beuler? Beuler?
No Fred, Gord, Doug, Stu, Paul, Barry…No Nick…or Carl… The end is not the celebration of great memories, which it should be. Too bad.
I wish everyone good fortune next year, if there is a show South of there…
I wish I could be there with all who are going to be able to be there…

I’ve been super excited for this trip, but it appears I am cancelling as well. I’ve been barely able to breathe today and driving 7-ish hours alone when I feel this way just isn’t possible. I’m curently trying to decide if I should wait until morning and see how I feel, cancel my vacation all together, or try to go somewhere closer to home just to get away for a bit…
Bruce, really sorry to hear you and Jean aren’t coming, sorrier still that she’s in pain. I hope all heals up for her soon.
John, sad to hear of your ailment as well. We’ll miss you, and the baker’s goodies you were going to bring…
Well, I’ll be there. And I’m looking forward to gettin outta Dodge in the AM, and seeing everyone there that can make it! Like Fred said, it won’t be quite the big ending to York, with so many missing. But, we’ll do our best; and there’s next year in Tim-town, hopefully.

Yeah, gonna miss this one. (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cry.gif)Too bad, since this seems to kick off the “season” for me. But, I’ll be at Ken’s in April, so that will have to do!
Tell Jean I was asking for her. Hope she gets better soon.
Man everyone is dropping, y’all will be missed. I just got word from work that I have Friday off, just gotta run it by the boss now hahaha
Hope everyone gets over the ailments in a timely fashion. Bruce, i hope to see you and Jean at Ken’s. Hopefully catch with the rest of you over the summer
Sorry to hear about those that have to cancel. Bruce - I’ll see you & Jean at Kens in April. Maybe we can convince Bob to come down too!
Look like I will be shoving off into a developing storm. Hopefully the new SUV handles heavy rain well. Because of the weather I’ve decided to alter my route to stay on the interstates through Harrisburg rather than the 2-lane through Redding. It may take me just a bit longer, but I can leave anytime tomorrow morning so I should still be able to be in the area by late afternoon.

Looks like we’re going to have to cancel as well. Jean has excruciating pain whenever she walks. The good news is that the surgeon says all the X-Rays are good, and it’s probably just a muscle, but it is just too hard to get around, so we’re canceling our trip.
Next time!
Please pass Jean, Jane’s and my regards and hope for a quick recovery…

So we won’t get to see your smiling face, and demeanor that just lights up the room the moment you enter it. That’s a shame.
So many people will be missing this year. It’s kinda sad…

Take care Bob. I had something like that and it finally sent me to the doctor for the first time in thirty years.
Yeah, once you’re over 40, you realize things just don’t get better on their own. And when you get past 65, you learn to NEVER try to do anything new (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-foot-in-mouth.gif)(it is a great way to discover some new type of pain(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cry.gif))

Well said, Bruce… When you pass 80, each day is an adventure to see what the day holds… I’ve crossed over the 81 threshold. Each hour is exciting. Since this is in all probability “The last Greeting party” tonight, and “The LAST D&B” on Friday night; I hope someone attending both events will be kind enough to record them in pictures, and post them here, without those less fortunate, and not able to attend; having to have to beg… PLEASE…

I will try Fred. I didn’t bring a camera and I can’t easily post from my Phone so if you can wait until Saturday night I might be able to post a few.
Is the “last” D& B kinda like the “last” Invasion? If so, there will be many more .
Found on Facebook a set of Pics showing a guy’s show setup.

Link to 2 live steam tracks being setup and used.
Nhgrs big green is off to the left about 6 minutes in.
Arrived at Ken’s later this afternoon than we originally planned, but Ken and I are headed for York early tomorrow morning. Jan will come later in the day. Please don’t forget the “Drag and Brag” tomorrow evening in the Susquehanna Room of the Wyndham Hotel, the Holiday Inn Holidome on 2000 Loucks Rd.
Whoever is posting the streaming video of the setup, thank you! And Don, thanks for posting the link.
Report from ground zero…
Really rainy day.
Lou L., David-Hollywood and I were in the alcove earlier, setting up Lou’s timesaver layout. Lou did a great job planning this out for a quick deployment, and brought all the needed track, trains and control equipment. My main job was to hold Lou’s phone, while he and Hollywood looked at Lou’s photos to figure out how to put the track together. Went very smoothly.
David brought the excellent banners he’d had made, just for this event. We hung them in the alcove, and they look great. With Lou, we also put out chairs, set up tables, and started to arrange things for tomorrow. Should be good to go.
The early bird social went well, around the bar, with Donna the barkeeper attending as always. Lots of discussion about layout ops, train brakes and the recent CP wreck. And mine fires. And smoking cessation. And other things.
I took a couple pics, but I don’t have a cable to plug my phone it to transfer them to my puter at this time. They weren’t great pics… but I’ll upload tomorrow.
Great to see and chat with LSC friends!
All in all, great first day in York. Wish y’all were here,
===>Cliffy
Where do you guys meet for the drag and brag?
