ECLSTS IN YORK, PA - 2019

Nooooooooo

End of this week. Next week everyone will either be showing off what they bought, or complaining.

Bad news. I will not be going to the show this weekend. Turns out this cough Ive had for a week is some kind of viral infection in my airway. Upside there is a room available at the Wyndham now.

Anyone that was going to get stuff from me, or bring me stuff, let me know if you’ll be coming to TrainOps, or we can make other arrangements.

-=Bob

That means you will have no excuse not to come to Portland!

Seriously, get well Bob, these viruses are getting tougher and tougher.

Greg

Feel better, Bob.

One less referee present.

Take care Bob. I had something like that and it finally sent me to the doctor for the first time in thirty years.

Bummer, man!

Get better. Ops maybe(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

Real sorry to hear that Bob, but yeah, rest up and get better.

Sorry to hear that Bob. You will be missed. Get better quick!

Well that is a polite way of saying “Roosters gonna be there so I’m not coming”…Take care of yourself Bob!

You’ll be missed. Get better, soon.

Sorry Bob must have given it to you last week when I went buy. 5 weeks and 2 Z packs later you will feel better.

Cheers

Richard

Sorry to hear that, Bob. Get lots of rest!

HI all, I’m mostly a lurker on these forums, but been in the hobby a while now…I think about 14 years. I have modular layout now, but won’t be at the York show, I show it a a smaller show in VA once a year. However, I will have a sales booth at ECLSTS this year, in only a few days. I build custom Auto Control Circuits that run 3 trains on a loop wit a sidiing. I will have a small demo layout at my booth, and a few circuit boards for sale. I’ll aslo have a selection of G scale and O scale stuff for sale. Stop by, would love to see you all and chat.

Regards,

For those without Facebook this was posted earlier today:

Dan of Star Hobby who is the organizer for the ECLSTS Show has given me permission to post the latest news.

2019 will be the last year for the East Coast Large Scale Train Show to be held at York Fairgrounds in York PA. The Fairgrounds stated that there were no dates for the show in 2020 for March.

Currently Dan is in negotiations with the Maryland State Fairgrounds to hold the ECLSTS Show at the Cow Palace Timonium MD for 2020.

This is actually exciting news because there is a ton of room for the show to grow at the Cow Palace. I’m actually currently at the Cow Palace for the Great Scale Model Train Show.

Permission to post this news given by Dan of Star Hobby.

I stopped by Star Hobby last week, as I work in Maryland, but live quite a ways away, plus I fogot to pay him for my small booth at the show. He mentioned the move to me. I told him I was worried about the extra distance for those coming from the North, but turns out it is only about 40 miles from York Farigrounds to Maryland State Fairgrounds. The venue in Maryland is indeed very nice, been to many other shows there over the years. I hope that show does well this year, and expands in the future. I might considering bringing my semi-amateur modular layout to the show next year if it’s in MD.

Ted Ansley

Thanks for the report Ted. What’s your business called? I’ll be sure to stop by and say howdy. You and your products should come to the D&B. Very informal, just a gob of intermingling and talking hobby stuff with good friends.

Looks like we’re going to have to cancel as well. Jean has excruciating pain whenever she walks. The good news is that the surgeon says all the X-Rays are good, and it’s probably just a muscle, but it is just too hard to get around, so we’re canceling our trip.

Next time!

I look forward to the ECLSTS this Friday! Flying to Philly tomorrow morning then taking the scenic route to York. Question: does any one know if there’s a “Show Car” this year? The web-site says they planned on one and it woould be listed “closer to the show dates”. It’s two days away which is pretty close. Just wondering!

Sorry to hear about Jean, always look forward to seeing you guys.

I guess this means she can’t kick you good for a while!

Well, just had a call, and we are locked in for 2 tables and 10 chairs in “The Alcove”.

The Show Car will be a 3 bay Conrail hopper with metal wheels and 4 different numbers.

There will be t shirts and sweat shirts, graphics are being drawn with the theme of a train going away to signify leaving York.
