Don’t forget Scranton Steamup is Presidents weekend in February for those that are not to far. I will be helping setup Friday and spending Saturday and Sunday up their.

Last year getting back to the Red Roof was not a fun experience. I decided to try a new way back to 30 instead of the way we always go. Turned left instead or right out of the rear lot. Got to the corner and there was a No Left sign. That’s OK I thought, I’ll just go straight. Didn’t see the concrete divider until after I was airborne! I was surprised none of the goodies in the back were damaged.
At Red Roof I usually get the Business King room for $77. HI Show rate was $85 for a King room including full breakfast. About the same really.

For $8 that’s a no brainer.
I usually get the cheaper room. It was $50.
Being at a centralized location with everyone else is worth the added expense.

We will be there on Friday as the GREAT KINGSTON MODEL TRAIN AND R.R. HOBBY SHOW is on Sunday March 23rd, 467 Broadway Kingston NY… Some of the club members wanted to attend the last Large scale E.C.L.S.T.S. So I’m going just to pickup the rest of the Autoracks I wanted.
Booked the rooms for Thursday and Friday night. Hoping to get there as early as possible on Thursday to help out in any way I can.
Looking forward to seeing everybody again. Had a great time at the Drag-n-brag last year. I’m sure this upcoming event will not disappoint.
Whether in the layout hall, or among the vendors, the best part is running into all the friends I’ve made since I came into this hobby twenty years ago. That’s what makes the ECLSTS the best large scale show in the Northeast. May it have continued success.

Finally did some decent airline flights and pricing… Coming in midnight the 19th and leaving out on Sunday afternoon… Non-stop both ways…
