Now you need a period between layout and jpg - not a semi-colon.
Thanks Bruce and Greg. Not being able to see much is a PAIN! This drawing shows the layout with measurements. I hope to get some pictures taken this week and will key them to the drawing.
This truly works and I’m not SEEING things!
Looks good too me Doug!
And it’s all built except for the ore mill spur and figuring out how to wire the wye!

I can see. Nice plan Doug.Looking forward to more.
Chris Vernell said:Battery assault commencing Doug! Airwire and NO problems with the wye. I have a wye on my new layout design. I should drive up there with my Accucraft #346 and give you a little demo. Hee. Hee.Doug Arnold said:You are about to suffer battery assault ... :P

BTW, I like the layout design. Very nice indeed.
That’s why the battery-Airwire Shay can do the switching! The best of both worlds!
Nice layout plan. Gives you plenty of room for lots of plants and buildings in center.
Doug, the wye was not too bad to wire once i had it straight in my head. but of course the battery squad will never pass up an opp to run their gums.
No wonder it’s a problem. My head is crooked!
All train traffic on the D&D has ground to a halt after a flash flood washed out several sections of track. Repairs and track clearing may take a week to complete.
While it might still be dirty, it looks like the dust is all down-stream now Good luck with the repairs.
I just need to go “downstream” and bring some of the sand back. For a couple days there won’t be any dust! Most of the dry weeds I hadn’t picked up are now stranded on the lower tracks.
Doug, those storms skirted us and dumped pretty hard in the desert.
Washouts are fun Doug. Just like the real thing. Thats whats great about garden railroads always maint to do. You never get bored.

I just wish I’d gotten to see my dry washes running with water. At least I won’t have to water for a few days!
Today I’ll start on cleanup and rebuilding!
The early morning Shay wakes up miners that oversleep at the Silver Onyx mine. Mine foremen got tired of some miners that oversleep. They had miners build a sleeping cabin over the tunnel at the Silver Onyx mine. If a miner oversleeps he is banished to the cabin for a couple days. When the Shay makes its early morning run it’s bound to offer a “wake up call” as it climbs out of the tunnel.
