It will even look better when the bridge and siding are installed and the :mountain is detailed. I also plan to put a trestle from the mountain to the ore chute and add a loading dock on a second set of tracks. This will keep the siding busy from an operations standpoint.
Nice work Doug. Looks good
Looks great. really fits in nice.
And you said you were slow.
You’re all done and I’m still thinking about what to do
Now you just need an ore car.
The ore chute really did turn out nice.
Ralph
Thanks everyone.
I do have an ore car but I need to order some Gn15 track for it and build the ore car! Along with building a trestle! I also have an On30 steam engineb to convert to Gn15 if I ever get to it.
I do like one thing I wasn’t able to show in the picture. The doors on the chute actually do open. They slide up and down which is the way the ore chutes actually worked here in the West.
A G scaler in the gold country in Northern California has also built a working stamp mill that crushes the ore! I don’t have the milling skills to build a working mill. This is as close as I get!
I am going to build a mill but it won’t be a working one!
Cool!
Doug looks great.
Cant wait to see it with the track and stuff all done.

An early morning Milk Train passes the newly completed ore chute at the Silver Onyx Mine. Trucks are currently moving ore until the new siding and bridge are completed.
Did the milk train get lost? Isn’t it supposed to go to the dairy? Lookin’ good.
Those miners were thirsty and the closest saloon is in town!
Hmmmm. Fermented milk, huh?
Guess I’d better check the refrig. We may have some!

The Shay uses the new otr chute siding for the first time.
you need an extension on that file. le: jpg,
It only took three times for the server to play nice and upload the prior picture. It didn’t like my b;ack and white and the color version was disagreeable the first time! My apologies to antone with dialup!
Well I’m glad you finally got it right
Nice picture.
Ralph
It was’t me! It wasn’t me!..
Doug Arnold said:It was you. But you are sly and have now deleted the evidence ;) Ralph
It was't me! It wasn't me!...........
Very nice picture. Head on shots are very interesting.
Thanks. Doc Tom
It was great with that head on shot because it doesn’t show all the dust on the engine!
The only thing yjay picture didn’t show is that bridge I’m shooting through was just rebuilt. It has a walkway and water barrels!
