Craig's 2024 MIK T-D Feeds Hay Storage Shed

yeah I guessed it as impossible . Wish I had a bigger back yard too, to do an addition into the front yard which would then require a new gate so I could follow and do things in the front yard. but getting too old to do that kind of work !

Or is it because it’s bigger than the table saw it’s sitting by?

Might have a fighting chance still…

Got the roof all glued and secured, big gaps filled as with styrene plugs, and a layer of bondo for the small gaps.

See what happens today after work. Sand and final prep before the last big glue up begins?

I think if I can get it finished by Friday, that gives me 2 days to prime and paint, and add the lights.

That is a good sized building. If you put a door on the end you could park a train inside.

Maybe if I hadn’t braced the interior?

Humm, just a tad small. I mean compared to the rest of the mill.

I recently got one of those reefer cars, and now I want a couple more , they are nice and inexpensive compared to some brands

I scored a few years back when USAT had a buy 5 get one 1 deal. It worked out to under $100 shipped. I “needed” a dozen for Darigold spotting as Darigold got up to 8 cars at a time.

Awesome deal , got to keep looking for one of those deals

I’ve noticed they happen about once a year or so. The last set was 50 or 60’ boxcars.

Here’s what it looks like with a light coat of rattle can primer. Still needs some work. I have noticed the rattle can primer doesn’t fill/smooth as good as the Badger primer.

Wow those two photos really highlight the difference in color tones between my workbench lights and natural lights.
I figured since it was nice out, I’d rattle can it and see what needs touching up before I tackle the roof. Next dig out the paint stash and see if I can find a color match. It’s not quite the same color as I painted the one square silo. But I’m sure I could find something that gets close.

Jury is still out on if I will finish in time. About 1/4 of the roof done, still need 44 more strips cut. If I can get the roof done and get the roof vents bashed together to the roof AND primer it by tomorrow night I might have a fighting chance on Sunday to get the final paint coat on and the lights wired up.

Based on the layer of plastic dust on my garage floor, I’ve been busy the last 28 days.

I’ll see your dust layer and raise you some tin scraps, and saw dust…

Why’s a quart jar of Sushi Rice hanging out in the workshop?

Dammm… I was afraid someone would notice…

OK you asked (this could be a can of worms)… Resin Casting…

Okay now I’m ready to know… use them like rice in salt/sugar?

Does cast resin rice taste better than steamed rice?

Well I made it halfway across the roof today. I might get a few more minutes later but I think at this point it’s looking like a DNF just barely. But that’s fine with me.

Still got tomorrow… :man_shrugging:t3:

DNF is so much better than a DNM, or so I just learned.
