Craig's 2024 MIK T-D Feeds Hay Storage Shed

I have a step light design just for those 0603 and they fit in just nicely. Let me know if the future of you want the file again. :joy:

I never could get your file to work way back in the day and I don’t think I have it anymore. I’ll have to look. But if you sent it to me I wouldn’t be upset.

Evan Design sells $2.00 each a nano chip light that I used on my locomotives as step lights, warm or cool and it is a small flat square and hides really well while providing plenty of safety for your crew needs

Yep Pete it’s probably a 0603 with a resister presoldered on. You can buy 0603 bulk with wires soldered on in bulk packs for much cheaper.

I haven’t been crazy enough to buy just bare SMD and solder my own wires on. That’s a step way too far for me.

Progress is faster than I expected! Only 18 more strips to cut and glue and all 4 walls will be done.

Fingers crossed that tomorrow can be glue up the walls evening. I know I had previously cut an interior bracing wall and now I can’t find it. Easy enough to cut a couple more.

Once the roof is glued on the building I was planning on gluing those strips on.

This is looking like I might actually be able to finish in time. Maybe… I think that would be a first time.

Well life has a funny way of saying slow down. Both the wife and I gave each other a cold. She blames me, I blame her so it works out for both of us, right?

So weekend plans got cancelled so that frees up Saturday for more MIK time. But I’ve been too tired all week after school to get anything done. And if course the 3 boys have boundless energy that Mom and Dad have none of.

I did print off a dozen roof vents for Pete. Or if he doesn’t want that many I’ll save them myself.

Today has been a wash on the MIK due to the lack of motivation and this stupid cold that’s lingering.

Maybe tomorrow I’ll feel better (or maybe worse and then I can take a sick day on Monday and work on this?:roll_eyes:).

At this rate I feel like it will be yet another DNF project since we only have 1 week left, correct?

I certainly found the Mik virus put my vision at risk. I can’t focus… on much else. Might as well face the inevitable…
Recommend call work now and say, “Yup it’s an eye problem. I just can’t see

(mumble) coming into work today.

As a high school teacher, taking a sick day is fairly easy. I just take it.

Now the harder part is coming up with sub plans that a sub will actually follow and students will actually do. And then throw into the mix Monday is day 3 of the new semester so my students aren’t ready yet to do my style of history learning…

If the sub is not prepared consider them sending this lesson plan… after all you are unwell and can’t focus.

History
Describe the history of the Papacy from its origins to the present day, concentrate specifically but not exclusively, on the social, political, economic, religious, and philosophical impact on Europe, Asia, America and Africa. Be brief, concise and specific.

I don’t know the origins but the rest of the Final Exam is as entertaining.

QUOTE: Define the Universe. Give 3 examples…

They’ll be so happy when you get back :innocent:

If there’s an award for DNF multiple years in a row, I think I’d definitely qualify. I don’t think I have ever finished on time.

I know that there’s not much left, but I just need to get off my lazy sick butt and get working. Nothing I have is limiting my physically, it more just mentally exhausted.

i’m not sure about the spelling, but is this not, what the word “procrastination” was invented for?

Nah procrastinating is totally different than mentally exhausted.

And the trouble is we tend go back to work without recovering from the exhaustion. Hope you’re feeling better.

Got over the mental hump and got gluing again. A few more internal braces and I might be ready for the roof assembly.

DANG!!! That’s bigger than I thought it was going to be…Large is cool in it’s own way… but 4x the work… keep on keeping on.

well the word “selective compression” isn’t one you believe in, right?

Nope. I hate selective compression when it comes to buildings especially rail serviced ones.

Besides the curves and the length of run everything else is built pretty close to 1:1. Even the big bridge coming outside is only compressed by 12 scale feet out of a 272’.

I’ve always hated selective compression and told myself that I would do everything in my control to not compress. Obviously the curves have to be compressed and the tangent runs. But so far only 1 turnout on the layout is “compressed” from a #9 to #6.

Yeah that’s bigger than I imagined also.

Craig use selective compression yeah right. He won’t admit it but he is looking for a 1:29 scale piece of property so he can make the entire layout to scale.

If I had a bigger yard, I think the only thing I would do differently is:
A. Build out Woodinville as a yard, interchange vs the staging
B. Increase running space between scenes.
