Yes, the other siding is V-groove siding. I barely had enough clapboard for the building proper. The roof slopes about 1/8".

Just need to put it outside, but snow and ice came last night.

I’m still painting the figures for the loading dock, so there will be at least one more here

I used the black glue (E-6000) to seal the roof and “hide” the seams.

Jean says she really likes the front and that I need to place this somewhere where it can be seen. Randy had the right idea about the treatment for the seams in the siding.

Another great building. I really like the trim on the top of the front.
It is a beautiful building… I can think of a place, where it can be seen from all sides… hehehe
(I could bring it back from York with me and take pictures and show you where… )
Nice looking building Bruce. That front trim really sets it off

Now’s the time to pitch for expanding the RR out front

Bruce,
Nice building! What will keep it from blowing over?

Just weight, I suspect. That, and being under the holly…
Holly who?

I had to screw the Delores depot down to the platform and then add a rock to the inside to keep it from blowing around…and it’s not near as high as that building…
I guess I’ll wait and see. No problems with any of the other buildings so far. Well, the Liquor Store keeps getting knocked over by the squirrels
Bruce Chandler said:they are probably drunk, and lean against the building to try and stand up.... :)

If they’re knocking over the liquor store maybe you need better security, or have a drop safe next to the register or something…

Building looks real good Bruce, I love the base/body color!! Also reminds me I need to put finish corbels and bracketry on the upper half of Lemo even though it probably won’t be seen…
Bruce looks great.
Now I dont mean to hi jack your topic here so I’ll make this quick.
I’m going to try and build a ice house. What size Styrene and PVC board would you recamend me getting. I have been looking at it and all this 1 mm 3 mm 6mm in PVC board and then the .020 or .100 ect in the styrene strips has got my head going in circles. Could you please help me out in english so a moron like me can understand it all. Thanks
Geoff
6mm is about 1/4", I used that for the walls of the freight transfer. the 3mm is about 1/8, and a bit too flexible for large walls.
Geoff George said:Me too. I've been dealing with these materials at my new job since July and I'm just now getting a handle oon it.

Even the 6mm has some flex in it, but when all four sides are glued together it is quite strong. I loved using the 1/8" stuff (3mm) for trim pieces.
I’ve used the 1/4" stuff for my town building bases - and scribed lines in it to represent the sidewalk and curb. It holds up very nicely in contact with the ground.
Geoff, I’m not sure what your building will look like, so it’s hard to recommend anything specific. The 1/4" is great for walls and roof.
