Bruce is the building inspector. How do you think he got away with it. I also heard he is the mayor and Sheriff.

Nice cornice trim… that’s a trick to file away.
Maybe the chimney could mount on top of the small roof top building?
I repainted the old loading dock. It was still in pretty good shape; just needing a bit of glue here and there.

Even though the front won’t be easily seen, I decided to build a nice door. Just some strips of .040" styrene on top of some Sintra scrap; a few escutcheon pins for the door knobs.

Earlier, I had purchased some 1/32" polycarbonate…I’ve been using that to glaze the doors and windows. On the down side, I’ve had some adventures in printing the signs.

The first try on the left, I had “borderless printing” checked…so I guess that was a sign for Windows to go ahead and enlarge everything. The next attempt, on the bottom, I followed the directions to wash liberally with water. Obviously, I had the wrong ink setting. I set it to transparency for the next batch, but the sheet had a fold in it, so that smudged the print. I think I used about 10 sheets of the vinyl to finally get my signs. Arrrrrrgh. This is the front, with the sign in place. It’s a bit difficult to get the vinyl to lay down on that clap board.

And the back, which is the side that will face the operator and the siding.
I like the wrap-around signs. Nifty!
Looking good Nice signage.
Yes I too like the signage…fits in great with the building.
Marvelous, Bruce…
Thanks, guys. Got the first coat of paint on it today. Need to touch up a bit after this one dries…and I find all the spots I missed.
wonderful, Bruce… simply wonderful…
Neat color, I like it.
I may ask you to print my signs for the transfer…
Niiicccceeeee.
I can’t take too much credit for the signs. I started off REAL simple.

Then I sent a note to Mike Oates and asked him what he thought. He had lots of great ideas. He took what I did and kept improving on it. Eventually it evolved into the ribbon signs for the back, and the large sign in front. The Papilio sheets aren’t cheap, but they can be used for so many things that I find them very useful. It might have been neat to do these as cut vinyl signs like Del Tapporo made for Matheson Textiles.
…grinning…
Another Masterpiece! Love that look.
Getting closer all the time. Touched up the paint. Glued the roof in place, and added the siding on the inside of the roof. Also got the windows in.
Is the siding on the roof shed and back of roof fascia scored or some other material as it’s not the same as the PP clapboard.
I do like those roof drains! did you add a tiny bit of slope on the roof?
Yes, the other siding is V-groove siding. I barely had enough clapboard for the building proper. The roof slopes about 1/8".
I like those banner signs. I’ll have to remember that. Great touch…
Then again, the black and white doesn’t fade like the colors do.
That really looks great Bruce. Great job.
