Thanks for the info, Bruce. Keep the progress updates coming. I noticed a pole in front of one of the depot pictures that Rooster provided (provided the link). What purpose did that pole provide?

High ball signal Dan.(http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif) Used to communicate to the approaching train a need to stop or proceed with no need to stop
Thanks David. I’m learning, slowly, but learning none the less.
Highball became slang similar to; my project was ‘green lighted’.

What amazes me is NONE of you guys noticed Ken standing to the left of that “highball” signal “back in the day”
I realize he was a lot younger then though.
Edited …because Bruce is just a boy sitting on the roof in that picture
Shut up Rooster.
Hmm. I guess I really didn’t think this through. Octagons are a lot harder to build compared to a rectangle.
Anyway, my initial construct was just too flimsy, so I pondered a bit and came up with the idea of using some metal triangles. Got some aluminum ones made by K&S; when I went to order more they were all out, but did have brass. No matter.
Things are moving along now, although I have had to rebuild some of the windows to fit the changed space available.
Gee, now I feel a little better…(http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)
Glad to help, Ken. (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)
This time I decided to make my windows without using a form like I usually do. Since they only have a single cross piece, I felt this was easiest.
I cut the pieces to length using my chopper and then used my magnetic jig to hold the pieces in place while they dried.
A very handy piece of equipment. (I bought this from Micromark years ago)
Well, after as lot of looking I saw the things in the corners. geeeeezzs!

Well, I dunno Ric…I’m going to try (and fail) to NOT comment on Coast Guard observation skills…

Been saving that one, Bruce?

How does Brunt Interchange relate to Ric being a Viking?

A bit of thread drift… YOU should be comfortable with that. Plus it’s a well known fact that Vikings interchanged on a regular basis.
Not only that, but we got the Rooster to actually use his keyboard.(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-foot-in-mouth.gif)
