Large Scale Central

Brunt Interchange

I may use that stuff when I start building the flats along the back shed wall. I have a couple of Colorado Structure models I plan to use, too.

Thanks for the info.

(Now back to our regularly scheduled program)

I do end up covering the PVC - typically some siding from Precision Products. Then it’s painted with exterior grade latex paint - I get the samples custom mixed from Home Depot. (Lowes also sells sample sized custom paint, but it’s INTERIOR)

That’s what I’ll do. too. One or 2 may be an industry, but most will be the back of stores and other buildings.

Is it impact resistant?

When I hear Ken and cars in the same sentence.

I really like Ken’s technique of screwing the foam to some boards, so I did it that way on this building. Sure makes it a lot easier to get square.

I’ve also glued in place some tower pieces (parts of an octagon) to help line up the tower sides.

Nice choice Bruce. Ill never go back to stick built structures. The sign board etc… is so much easier to work with.

Bruce

Rooster can’t do this … as he has a few loose screws! (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

I’m liking this build!

I’m a big fan of using screws to hold things together. Just makes it easier to line things up and hold them together while the adhesive dries. Especially that coroplast. There ain’t a whole lot of gluing surface to work with on that stuff.

I like that tower. Gives it a bit of character…(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

Now to start on the tower. I have not yet added the window pieces, but have done the lower walls. And cut a hole in the roof piece - it’s not yet glued in place.

But, coming along. Waiting for some more parts from Hobbylinc…

Starting to take shape, Bruce. Looks good!

So you got my interest “peaked” on this combination station. From what you already found there was a close match in Piketon . I also found other very close matches in Coal Grove and Hanging Rock.

I noticed that the Omega station at one time had two fireplaces and it seems one had been removed. A few more pictures and a very brief history on Omega is found at the bottom of this page. https://www.waverlyinfo.net/n---w---c---o-in-pike-co.-ohio.html

Nice looking depot, Bruce. The tower adds a lot of character. What are the general dimensions?

Thanks. The basic building (not including the roof) is 9" x 18". 10’ scale height of the long walls.

The flood/damage pictures are amazing! I wanna date mother nature and bring her home for a night…Mind you just one night !

Looking forward to the station progress 22.5 is the magic number

Looking good, Bruce! Nice to see someone else using the expanded PVC.

Bruce,

This is excellent advice…best I’ve seen so far. I’ll be able to put this to good use on outside buildings in the future.

Thanks for sharing!!!
