Cold with snow showers over the weekend. Monday-Tuesday they are calling for 10 inches of snow here.
I’m ready for Spring

We’ve got a 1/2 inch of white stuff on the ground. Weather forecast said flurries. Amazed by the grace of a warm house and the ability to stay inside and watch it come down.

We’re scheduled to get between a dusting and a foot of snow between today and tomorrow, as I look out on my clear blue skies. I need to get a job where I can be wrong 1/2 of the time and still get paid. Weathermen have it easy.

Mmmm… Somebody brought in donuts from a bakery today. I only got one, but it was great
I’m still at work (6:10 local). The trip from Job #1 to Job #2 is less than 1 mile. It took me 45 minutes. We got 9 inches between 1 and 2:30 PM and was still snowing when I got here. Nice fluffy stuff - will be fun to plow tomorrow
8 degrees here this morning. Temperatures are expected to remain below freezing most of the week.
Now we wait to see how much snow we’ll get Monday.
Ralph

about 105° F here. send down some cold and snow please!
That sounds like our summer weather. What are your winters like?
1 degree yesterday morning about 1/2 in snow. Thanks to wind and clouds low went to 12 this morning but very windy. Had line cleared yesterday now covered from blowing snow. GRRRRRR. We will see what tue-wed storm brings us. Suppose to be a cold and snowy Jan up this way. All I know the winds have been bad this season. I forget what a calm day was like.
Doug Arnold said:variable. normally two to five days at about 30° F and most days between 70 and 110°. the difference between summer and winter is mainly little rain in summer and no rain in winter.

The difference in our weather is interesting. The hottest we’ve seen the past couple summers is 110 but usually cools off to the 60s at night. But our rain and snow is mainly in the winter. In the early 1980s we hit0 for five nights but usually 25 is about it. We do get major thunderstorms in July and August sometimes.
most rain we are getting comes with thunderstorms.
in normal years we get about 28" of rain. (theoretical) evaporation is about 55".
in the last three years we had a total of 43" of rain. (the good side is, here we got no problems with fungi or rotting wood)
I am camped out in Charlotte, NC for some training. The locall weather dude says we can exoect 2-6" tomorrow, changing to sleet and freezing rain tomorrow evening and into Tuesday norning. Just peachy!
I am hoping to get the first days training complete before getting hammered.
Will keep ya posted so long as we don’t loose power (not uncommon in Carolina ice storms).
Every one stay safe and warm!!
