Thought you modeled by the 10’ rule like me? Nothing to see here so move along and buy the German made models.
What if pete Lassens eyes aren’t so good?
I’m guessing the hint is you used a tablesaw to whack up a lot of aluminum cars. Wow was it more than 2 for each car???
Tried to do some Amtrak railfanning today, but my timing was off. No passenger trains but I caught three freight on the Pittsburgh line. Got a video of a stack train, but it’s too long at 3 minutes to upload from here, so you will have to settle for an EBT short.
Jon, those green coaches are the most shiney 1:1’s I’ve ever seen, like scaled up new plastic Bachmanns. Beautiful. Part of me thinks they need weathering.
So what’s the price for the various amtrak items?
i am beginning to suspect, that there is a certain obsession for ondulated metal, mixed with a certain rejection of wooden sidings.
now i’m waiting, to see, if a certain someone will pre-order a casket. not at the carpenter’s, but at the blacksmith…
Pete, here’s what I think is the build thread on those.
Sadly, the photos don’t show up. But it’s a great read; you can “see” the incredible effort Rooster put in, even without the photos.
I’ve seen these cars personally, and they’re amazing… especially once you understand he built them, not bought them. To quote Jon Radder from 15 years ago,
David, do you still have access to your Photobucket account? If so you could just dump them into a zip file and park that here for folks to download.
Cliff,
I can try and fix it as photobucket does show the code/url to an extent. However it’s time consuming. It was a lot of work and I honestly have most of the parts and chassis to make about 3 more I think. Now there’s an idea !!! I can sell 3 kits and the buyer puts them together and it will come with a roll of this!
Disclaimer…Rooster works cannot guarantee seams will be hidden as that’s the buyers job.
I don’t know…I need to dig it out and make a giant consist first. Then decide what could be earning 20% on my return of sale until I decide what I want next if anything.
I do need a view liner sleeper.
Interesting. Thank you
Yep, one of those sleepers would look nice in my consist.
