Large Scale Central

A Raised Road Bed: A build log for the RGS raised layout.

You could use french cleats if you wanted it to be removable.

Just in case. French Cleat = https://www.pinterest.com/pin/699535754590445149/?lp=true

If it were anything but vinyl siding I might consider that. Thanks.

I’ll have pictures later on what I’m doing.

Before a minor adjustment to get it level:

And lowered 2" :

Now you just need to continue the sky and mountains on up the back of the shed (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-sealed.gif)Get busy.

TOOday…(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

That looks even better, Ken. It’s amazing how those flats bring that area to life. Very nice (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-smile.gif).

Yea, it sure beats looking at the back end of a shed…(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

And it even has 2 more industries to service.

Foley Fast Freight and Bellamy’s RailRoad supplies.

Too cool, Ken. I love the names - brings back some memories! Looking forward to seeing it in person!

Ken,

Adds a lot of depth to the yard. Good inspiration for others with a similar situation.

Gordie was one of the main reasons I enjoyed going up to Fred’s. He always kept a low profile but was one of the biggest reasons the IPP&W ran so smoothly.(most of the time)

And TAC, well I got that inspiration from the Port Orford Coast RR. Foley Freight needed a presence on the east coast.

Now Jon will have a little more warning before he backs his C-19 down that siding…(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

If I don’t get radio problems sorted out C-19 may not be making an appearance this year. Only two weeks to figure it out.

Oh yeah; the backdrop looks great too! I need to get working on some for my indoor; but now that the weather looks like it may start cooperating soon I’m moving my attentions back outside.
