Fooling around on Google Earth, I found this:
Taken last Sept.
Pretty impressive lettering, must be pretty big for Google to see it…(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-foot-in-mouth.gif)

I won’t be able to get anything done on it anyway since I’m heading to Branson on Tuesday for about a week. But I do want to get the Wye in once I get back.
Have you already used your old turntable?
It was the first thing I put in, since I needed a starting point…
The Wye will be at the other end.

You ever try to paint grass?..Whew…(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)
No, but I once painted roses red…
As I begin to think about gathering materials I went back and looked at your construction technique to decide what I should buy. What is the reason for the second 2x4 above the base frame?
The PVC and fencing parts I understand, just not sure about the extra 2x4.
Jon, that’s the only place it was done that way. To test out my theory, I had built a module the year before and left it outside, so when I started building the layout, that was the only way I could see to set that particular module on. I just continued that particular construction all the way through the Delores area. Once past the shed it opens up to about 6’ wide, so I kept that particular construction method for strength and support.
When Fred visited here last year, he was concerned about the overhang on both sides, which I thought was a good point. Once I was past Delores I discontinued the overhang. But I did add some supporting blocks under that overhang eventually.
40/2016 Update: Porter
Needs some trains and railroady things on it Ken. Looking real good. (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)
Ken,
I loved the tune…(http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)
Yea, Joe, I thought it was appropriate. …(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)
That’s done:
Now I can start the Wye track work.
Sorry I can’t resist!
Why? (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)
