Vic,

Does it have a flat head? That is not the same as a square head!

A TAD of experience on subs…then on two Russkie jobs…and all the reading on the problems with their nukes…like 2 sealed in drydocks and cannot be scrapped for at lest 200 years…because they didn’t lock down the rods before they lifted the lid on the containment vessel for refueling or preparation for scrapping.
The death toll on them things probably is higher than their nuke plant that blew.

And to think folks actually went to sea on those things.

Dang.

Dave;
…you have experience with Rusky subs…there was someone on this forum or chat that had a mail order Rusky bride…I wonder if there is a comparison ?

Seems to me the “Bride” was a problem, but then so were the subs.

Is there a message in this somewhere, or am I up there with Gary on a higher/lower plain/plane/playne, somewhere ?

Speaking of Subs…I haven’t heard too much lately, about the state of the Limey ones that Canada bought as scrap. I did hear that the US Navy is going on some manover along the Atlantic cost with the Canadian Navy; and they will have HMCS Victoria along. Whether in tow; as a boat anchor; or as a surface vessel is the big question.
In any case; I wish the crew “Good sailing”, and a safe day or so at sea. Much more might be pushing it for safety reasons !!!

Story goes that a party member was entiled to a brand new LADA after years of faithful service, but he was going to have wait 3 years for it. He asked the factory guy whether it would be delivered in the morning or afternoon.

“Gee " the guy said " it’s 3 years man, does it matter”?

“Da, the plumber is coming in the morning”

Vic, Is that the engine talking? Yes? In that case: I don’t care what scale you are, but do you have to be that yellow?? hehehe Ooooooops, sorry! I just remembered, it’s that Golden State’s Golden Sunshine. hehehe

All I see is black and silver (but no “Raiders” logos) I think its a legit question…scale is in the eye of the builder and really no one elses. Run what you like and like what you run, the rest is …

Now now, young fellows…You all know that 1:92 is the up and coming scale the flat world over.
Running on 2.561 gauge track, makes it the brightest new idea in the model railroading world, for a long spell.

I expect that several manufacturers in Moscow will be providing kits very soon. Contact young Carl Vogel for future news of the plans.

19-foot-8 gauge? Is that the TransPineBarrenerian Railroad? Where the Jersey Devil fires the Medford Flyer up from Leeds Point on moonless nights, and the Vogels plot their NAX takeover while the Barge Dwog bays at the stars?

Now, Christopher, young chap; you know, as Canadians we use metric measurement…that was 2.561 cm, =/- .003 mm gauge.

Don’t let that happen again or I’ll take strange actions against you…!!!

Aaaaaargh! Not that! I is strange enough without assistance from Starwood Drive. How about 2.140 metre gauge, 1:1 scale? If only those early North American engineers had shown more independence and not adopted Papa Stephenson's mine-tram gauge. Now that would have been a BIG Boy!
Bart Salmons said:
Well yes for the EuroJunk inclined, a meter guage is prototypical......if yer into that sort of silliness, but what about the slobbering colorado three footer freaks? The only TRUE NARROW GAUGE modling is two footers.....anything else is just some slapdash attempt....
Actually Bart, (if I may be so bold) 7/8" scale on !8" gauge is the 'one true scale', all rest are a waste of space!

Which boils down to the 10’ rule…:stuck_out_tongue:

Some guys would have a hard time seeing anything at 3m, let alone detail. The most likely scale they trip up on? The bathroom scale if the light is off!

Quite correct, Hans,
I often trip on the weight scales laying uselessly on the bathroom floor, even in the light.
They are useless due to me weighing more than their capacity, and I trip over them due to not being able to see past my girth to the floor.

......they could be called "Another useless scale"......!!!!!
