I’d like this in Fn3 or 7/8n2
Is this the wrong time to ask for a Pony again? A PINK ONE!

Well we could also wish for an Alco C-425 my favorite. Later RJD
Guys, you’ll note Xavier mentioned “Jupiter” as a possible model. I seem to recall lots of requests for a standard-gauge 4-4-0 ? If it was one in 1/29th it would be a little larger and more robust - almost as big as the AMT/ERTL “General”. And that new-build “Leviathan” 4-4-0 is a sister, so you get two choices.

And you get some old-style coaches to go with it - USATrains

If I can find a seller with a nice price, I send to you he's website

Interesting $100 for the kit (trolley) and $100 for the motor. The trolley kit looks like a great deal, but I’d sure like to see the motor unit up close.
Greg
You know, if they did produce the Alco RS-1 or RS-11 they won’t have to invest in the trucks or motors because you can use the motor blocks off of Aristo-Crafts Alco units. This would keep the price of the kit even cheaper.

I agree 1/24 would be best. HLW does have a 4-4-0 for that time period and its 1/24. Thats one engine on my list to get. I want to do a civil war era theme. Of course in live steam woukld be best. Accucraft live steam 4-4-0 wont handle my 6.5 dia curves.

Shawn,
The HLW 4-4-0 has the small drivers. The 1860’s 4-4-0’s had the large drivers, like Pete’s photos.
Bachmann’s narrow gauge 1/20.3 4-4-0 is also a much later time period locomotive.
Ralph
I still think I’d like the parts to build a Standard Gauge Shay.
Thank you very much to everybody for your answers and kind comments.
When we take a decision about this subject, you be the first ones to know what is the locomotive chosen.
Thank you very much again, and many thanks for your time and your patience.
Xavier.
Thats the British Rocket and the German Adler, the two engines I posted are Stephenson’s Planet, his first successful mass produced engine and the British Lion, aka Titfield Thunderbolt which while contemporary to the Adler is a 0-4-2, different from the Adler 2-2-2. Just suggestions.
Hello, !!!
Well, at last, the model choice are the Jupiter in 1:22,5 scale. Entirely in metal.
Hope you 're interested in this option. And the first model you can see at Nuremberg, but in 1:32 scale. In 2 or 3 months the model will be in the market. With a very reasonable price.
Thank you very much to everybody for your help.
All yours comment was very helpfull.
Wrong scale. The Jupiter was standard gauge.
That alcohol burning Lion is a beauty. Absolutely not my speed, scale/gaugewise … but I’d really like to see it go.

Is that a 1:20.3 4-4-0 running on 70mm track? That would be a wowser!
