A new locomotive and wagon in kit

Hello again !!!.
First of all, tell you this is very serious, does not a christmas joke or something like this.
Then, thank you very much for all your replies and kind words.
The manufacturer is OCCRE. You can visit they web site at :
http://www.occre.com/index.php?option=com_productos&task=listcat&id_cat=18&Itemid=30&lang=en

This poll I have proposed here in LSC Forum, which is basically to know your interest in a new model, in kit and motorized.
The kit quality is very good. Made of brass, and also at a very good price.
The truth is, I hope you might be interested. If I see that there is a general interest, I will not hesitate to commute and talk to all who are interested in contributing ideas.

Nor can we rule, done a special edition for the forum users.
So, I’m still waiting for more ideas…
Greetings.

Xavier.

I have seen these models in my local hobby town. They are very nice and affordable. You can add a motor to these kits for an extra cost.
Are they made out off all brass or is it a brass/wood kit?

Shawn,

It is a new product. It is still under study, and it all depends on the model you all you choose.
Some models manufactured today are of brass, with a wooden structure to facilitate assembly.
It is possible that the new model is in aluminum and brass.

Occre? Man I would love to get an Adler kit and coaches but its too rich for poor me. I am still looking to get it though. A Stephenson PLANET 2-2-0 and rake of Stephenson type cars would be very very tempting.

I could not find a price list on the site?

Because is a producer, nor a dealer or a seller.

But if it serves as a reference … BR-18 locomotive, is sold in Europe for less than 300 €

Thanks

If I can find a seller with a nice price, I send to you he's website. Here is not a expensive model. (Less than BR-18 or Pacific model)

Thanks

Shawn mentioned Hobbytown. But I didn’t find anything on their web-site.

Might not be on their web site could be an individual store thing. They had the rocket and a few Trolleys. I forget the price but it was not bad but thats without the motor.

So did I miss the price list somewhere?

Any American models possible (yeah I saw the trolly and rocket)

Looks like SG models in 1:32 right?

Looks like nothing comes with power, how much is the power unit? Do you power the tender with the steam locos

Street cars/trolleys are 1:24.
No price list.

Thanks to everybody for yours kind comments.

Let me tell you what we need. We are looking for a model who can become a reference for the railroad modelers.
Between all yours comments and suggestions, we hope find a model (in kit) with two specials caracteristics; Not too hard to build, but not a simple toy. Mostly in metal, aluminium and brass, and very easy to personalize it. With a lot of options.

By the moment, the following data are the parameters we ask :

Scale ( we assume between 1:32 and 1:20 )
Gauge ( in function of the model choice )
Model (Our first idea was a Jupiter, but we preffer a model really popular between the modelers)
Construction ( Mostly in metal, aluminium and brass)
Steam, Diessel or Electric.?. You choice.

And above all, the most important thing … the price will be very interesting.

So, I’m still waiting for more ideas…
Greetings.

Xavier.

OK,I’ll bite:

scale 1:29
Gauge 45mm – ability to negotiate 10’ diameter curve.
UP challenger - steam
Construction will be related to price, so how about die cast boiler with additional detail, stainless steel driver tires, stainless steel siderods and valve gear.

Greg

Ok my wife bought me Occre trolly kit for Christmas from Historical rail museum for about $250 with power truck. The power truck even has to be assembled so this going to be one neat project to start on when I return from my FL trip. Sorry can not post pics as to complicated form me. Later RJD

I’d like to see one of the streamlined steam locomotives that no one makes in large scale. 1. Dreyfus J3 Hudson(my top choice! 2. Commodore Vanderbilt 3. Hiawatha 4. Crusader 5. Pennsylvania T1(now made in live steam by Accucraft) 6. Union Pacific M-10,000 streamlined diesel. 7. GM Aero Train diesel. You would want the cars with this also. For general sales 1/29 scale might be best, but 1/32 could be a good choice also. An odd one that appeals on a limited special basis would be the Bennie Railplane. It was a propellor driven train on elevated rail and would be neat for a ceiling installation inside.

I’m with Greg, a UP Challenger or even the Jupiter all in 1/29th scale.

Chuck

If your talkin’ streamliners, how can you leave out the N&W 611 ? I believe this was one of the last steam engines built in 1950. Ralph

Okay I will take a bite also…

Three American diesels, all three seemed to have sold well, both on the east and west coast.

Scale 1:29

EMD SW-1500

EMD SD-9

ALCO RS-11

Those would be volume winners for sure, although Aristo is going to make the 1500, so I’d skip that one.

They will NEVER make the SD-9 as long as Lewis is alive, so that would be tops.

Greg

Well we could also wish for an Alco C-425 my favorite. Later RJD
